Leftists are absolutely livid over the Supreme Court’s historic overturning of landmark abortion rights ruling Roe v. Wade and some are lashing out at a White House that they feel betrayed by, including actress Debra Messing who reportedly melted down during a conference call with Biden administration staffers.
Messing, who has been an important component of the Democratic Party’s Hollywood activist arm was one of several celebrities who participated in the call that went down last Monday which was reported by CNN, at one point losing her temper and yelling in frustration, making the narcissistic suggestion that she was responsible for Biden’s 2020 election win.
“The mood was fatalistic, according to three people on the call, which was also co-organized by the advocacy group Build Back Better Together,” according to CNN, describing the meeting which took place three days after the conservative justices defied weeks of demonization and mob intimidation to stick together by sending the decision on abortion back to the states.
The 53-year-old actress, who is best known for her long-running role on the popular sitcom “Will & Grace” and was among “dozens of celebrity Democratic supporters and activists” who were on the call, reacted angrily as she expressed frustration with Biden’s inability to “do something” to preserve the federal government’s ability to dictate the rules when it comes to snuffing out the lives of the unborn.
According to CNN, “Messing said she’d gotten Joe Biden elected and wanted to know why she was being asked to do anything at all, yelling that there didn’t even seem a point to voting. Others wondered why the call was happening.”
“That afternoon, participants received a follow-up email with a list of basic talking points and suggestions of Biden speech clips to share on TikTok,” CNN reported.
The celebs weren’t the only ones upset with Biden, one unidentified member of Congress quoted by CNN described the White House as “Rudderless, aimless and hopeless,” a sign that tempers are on edge with the critical midterm elections only four months away and the overwhelming sentiment that voters are going to take Democrats to the woodshed.
“There’s no fight,” another unnamed Democrat told CNN. “People understand that a lot of this is out of his hands — but what you want to see is the President out there swinging.”
Twitter users chimed in on the report of Messing’s meltdown.
So after 5 weeks of the Dobbs leaks, the response to Roe being overturned was:
– Singing on the steps of Congress
– Rep. Nancy Pelosi reads a poem
– Congress goes on vacation (one they’re still on)
– Call Debra Messing and other celebsAm I missing something?

I knew at some point that Karen was going to lunge out of Debra Messing. My grandma said to “watch’em, they turn and give up the first time they can’t get exactly what they want, all the while Black women been fighting since slavery, but they’re tired” #CNN #MSNBC

Why is the White House in regular contact with celebrities in the first place? There are parents of Americans killed in terror attacks that can’t get their phone calls returned but Debra Messing gets regular private briefings? 🤦♂️ https://t.co/8a5BHXhVLn

Messing is fighting mad and took to Twitter to call for women nationwide to walk out on their jobs in protest next Wednesday, an arrogant request from a wealthy celebrity activist who only cares about scoring points in her own political battles and not the idea that she is asking less fortunate women to risk losing their economic livelihood in what would be a futile, self-defeating gesture that isn’t going to bring Roe v. Wade back from the grave.

Democrat Cedric Richmond, who left Congress to join the administration, complained that critics are “scapegoating” Biden.
“‘Hillary wasn’t good enough,’ ‘She’s not fighting hard enough,'” he said, according to CNN. “That’s what got us Donald Trump. And that got us Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. Case closed.”
