Aged actress Bette Midler may have inadvertently whacked a hornet’s nest with her latest Twitter diatribe that hurt the feelings of the noisy but minuscule demographic that sits at the very top of the left’s pyramid of identity groups.

The 76-year-old Midler, who has been engaged in a weeks-long social media temper tantrum over the Supreme Court ruling that aborted Roe v. Wade, rattled cages with a 4th of July missive in which her argument that women are being shorn of their dignity and their rights missed her intended mark but struck home by pointing out that women are really being erased by the “woke” cult which champions transgenderism.

“WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even of our name! They don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us ‘birthing people’ or ‘menstruators’, and even ‘people with vaginas’! Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!” Midler wrote.

The “Hocus Pocus” star was immediately swarmed by advocates for transgenderism who wailed in fury on Twitter over her tweet, drawing angry accusations of being a TERF (trans-exclusionary radical feminist) which is a derogatory term used to describe heretics like JK Rowling.

The hysterical reaction to Midler’s tweet is a perfect example that the rabid “woke” mob cannot be reasoned with and that they will turn on their own in a nanosecond.
