The massively hyped January 6 select committee’s show trial has been a complete disaster in terms of grabbing the attention of Americans but on Thursday, some drama was injected into the monotonous one-sided hearings when it was reported that the FBI raided the home of a Trump administration DOJ official, conveniently on the day before Jeffrey Clark was to be a focus of Nancy Pelosi’s Soviet-style spectacle.
Clark, an environmental lawyer who stands accused of being a key player in the alleged plot by former President Donald J. Trump to overturn the election, had his suburban Virginia residence swarmed by federal law enforcement agents executing an early morning search on Wednesday, fueling coverage by a media that is desperately hoping to generate interest for what has been a spectacular failure, at least from a ratings standpoint.
According to The New York Times which reported the raid, “It remained unclear exactly what the investigators may have been looking for” but the timing couldn’t have been more convenient for Pelosi’s Republican attack dog Liz Cheney, who led off Thursday’s hearing, the fifth in a series by zeroing in on Clark as a pivotal figure in the committee’s sweeping conspiracy theory.

The committee’s other Republican, Rep. Adam Kinzinger who was hand-picked by Pelosi showed a video clip of former White House lawyer Eric Herschmann with his snarky, profanity-laced testimony regarding a conversation with Clark.

In a narrative that again draws on themes from Watergate and Richard M. Nixon’s “Saturday Night Massacre,” it has been alleged that Trump had planned to install Clark at the head of the Justice Department, replacing acting AG Jeffrey Rosen who stepped in after the resignation of William Barr but abandoned the plan.
The New York Times reported that FBI agents confiscated Clark’s electronic devices “and put him out on the street in his pajamas,” humiliating treatment for an enemy of the regime.
One of Clark’s associates, Russ Vought of the Center for Renewing America reacted to the raid.
“All because Jeff saw fit to investigate voter fraud,” he is quoted by the NYT, “This is not America, folks. The weaponization of government must end.”
The suspect timing of the raid on Clark’s residence did little to dispel suspicions from many that the vaunted bureau is little more than the Democratic Party’s own political secret police.
“Absolutely disgusting. And it is even worse that they’re clearly working in conjunction with the Stalinist J6 Committee for maximum public relations. Just awful. Horrifying that this Soviet-style approach is happening here,” wrote Fox News contributor Mollie Hemingway.

“So Jeffrey Clark who committed no crime yet is savaged by J6 committee and media gets his home raided by numerous armed federal agents who take his electronics but Colbert’s thugs get a slap on the wrist for illegally entering a Capitol building to stalk GOP leaders? WTF,” wrote Twitter user Julie Kelly.

Other reactions to the politicized FBI’s action against Clark:
DOJ raids former employee Jeff Clark’s home but never raided McCabe’s, Strozk’s, Page’s, Clinesmith’s, Sussmann’s, Elias’s, or Comey’s.
Make no mistake, this isn’t about justice.
This is a warning to everyone inside DOJ to never whistleblow or oppose the regime.

Julie is right. Political raids on Jeffrey Clark and James O'Keefe show the Left cares not one whit for "democracy" or the rule of law. https://t.co/Ns18HzO8do

Leftists were overjoyed at the raid, something that would typically be seen in the Stalin-era USSR or third-world banana republic dictatorships.
Feds raided Trump DoJ official Jeffrey Clark’s home. Cool.
Let me know when him, Trump and all the other traitors are arrested.

From Virginia to Nevada today, several coordinated subpoenas and search warrants served and executed by the FBI and DOJ surrounding fake elector scheme.
Sure doesn’t feel like a “nothingburger.” https://t.co/3ablPIJiXg

The FBI raid of Jeffrey Clark’s home officially marks the beginning of the Find Out phase of Republicans Fucking Around.

The DOJ just raided the home of former Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark. That kind of warrant requires serious evidence. DOJ must have been building up to this for a long time. Is the Clark raid why the DOJ-themed 1/6 hearing was pushed back a week? We’re in the big time now.

Things are looking pretty grim for the J6 committee with even Democrat members of Congress admitting that it has been a dud, falling far short of expectations as Americans have more pressing matters, not the least of which are record gas prices and the most punishing inflation in over four decades – if they ever really cared about Pelosi’s sham in the first place.
