While the COVID pandemic may have ebbed and onerous restrictions on freedoms rolled back, hardcore leftists bitterly cling to their masks, vaccines and petty authoritarianism and in a story that should come as no surprise, National Public Radio has set up a tip line for employees to inform on their co-workers who neglect to adhere to the organization’s mask guidelines.
In an internal memo, NPR is encouraging workers to rat out violators who fail to follow the company’s policy on face coverings, directing them to provide the names of offenders to management and human resources with offenders being subject to disciplinary action that could include the loss of their job.
The memo, which is entitled “Safety Protocol Reminders and Tips” was posted to Twitter by Dylan Byers of Puck News and reads, “We have asked on-site supervisors to remind staff of the masking requirements when needed.”
NPR is maintaining a very strict mask policy, and has set up an HR tip line for employees to report on colleagues who are not adhering to guidelines—with the possible result of discipline and even termination. This is from a memo sent out today: pic.twitter.com/eRRSgDCaxw

“Masking is still required, unless recording alone in a studio, working alone in an office with the door closed, or actively eating or drinking. (And “actively” does not mean occasionally drinking from a water bottle.)” Any extremely rare exceptions to these rules need advance approval from the CMT.
“If you notice someone who has forgotten their mask, you might tell them, ‘Hey, you forgot your mask.’ It’s actually helping the person to be reminded,” the memo reads. “Nobody is intentionally trying to evade the rules. And if you are reminded to wear your mask, say, ‘Thank you!'”
“Please note that the failure to comply with our masking requirement may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination,” the message said, putting employees on notice that dissent from the rules will not be tolerated.
Twitter reacted to the news of NPR’s rat line.
These are the media activists who want to tell you what’s true and what’s “disinformation” https://t.co/7jvo7HYAdI

NPR perfectly on brand here. Why would anybody be shocked that they are
A) mask nazis
2) hypochondriacs and
C) narcs?— Titan (@BOOB_level) May 19, 2022
These are the same people screaming my body my choice and marching around in handmaids tale outfits right? Can’t make this shit up…

Right. If you’re going to make your staff behave hysterically with no regard to data or science, what are the odds that you’ll provide accurate Covid reporting to your viewers?

It all sounds very 1930s-1940s Germany.

Who on earth would willingly work at that place? Lots of job openings out there that don’t require you to re-enact the Stanford Prison Experiment every day!

How sad. @NPR is still enforcing masks, and they have all these intricate NPR etiquette mask rules. NPR employees are urged to squeal on each other. And all of us wage earners are forced to pay for these misfits, and what they report is seen as “public.” https://t.co/JGlD7cpBKU

Even though the vast majority of Americans have resumed their normal lives after the hellish period of lockdowns and mask mandates, the return of a state of mass hysteria is a serious possibility, especially in Democrat-controlled areas like New York City which just raised the COVID alert level and is asking residents to mask-up indoors again.
If we have learned anything from this virus, it is that we cannot let our guard down. As #COVID19 cases increase in New York, let’s protect those around us: pic.twitter.com/VYz3lz9FnD

NPR’s snitch line is yet another example of how masks have little to do with “the science” and are more about political identity and forcing others to comply.

Another reason not to support NPR. Save your used car. They’re valuable and there’s a shortage of used cars.
