Democrat gaslighting over President Joe Biden’s “leadership” during the Russia-Ukraine crisis is reaching peak levels as the party and its operatives seek to put a positive spin on his latest foreign policy catastrophe in the hope that voters will rally around their wartime president in an election year.
One of those who is putting lipstick on the pig of Biden’s dismal performance on the world stage is James Carville, the longtime Democrat political strategist who has been credited with being the driving force behind Bill Clinton’s 1992 upset of then-President George H.W. Bush and who remains an influential voice in his party.
It was Carville’s bumper sticker slogan “It’s the economy stupid” that resonated with enough voters to put Slick Willie over the top in a strange election year when the presence of billionaire interloper Ross Perot allowed the former Arkansas governor to topple a sitting president who had enjoyed an overwhelming approval rating only months before for his leadership during the Gulf War.
On Friday, the “Ragin’ Cajun” joined host Ari Melber on MSNBC’s “The Beat” where he spoke of Biden’s commanding presence in the sort of grand historic terms normally reserved for titans like Winston Churchill, while seeking to pull the bait and switch on Americans who have been battered by two years of COVID along with the highest inflation rates seen in almost four decades, in particular at the gas pump where prices will soon spike over the hostilities in Eastern Europe.
According to Carville, Biden was “born to be president” at this particular time in history, a statement that will go over well with a gullible MSNBC audience of true believers but likely won’t convince many Americans outside of the leftist bubble who understand very well the true historic nature of Biden’s presidency, one that has already inflicted grave damage on the nation and he’s only been in office for a little over a year.
Buoyed by a post-SOTU bump in Biden’s approval ratings, Carville said, “the foreign policy stuff, gas prices, and as this recovery is impressive. You know, in 1994, the economy in the United States was actually getting pretty good, and if you recall, we got slaughtered, 1996, we were running on the economy,” referring to the 1994 “Republican revolution” led by Newt Gingrich.
“So if we just keep up these powerful numbers, it will start affecting the way that people look at it,” he said, suggesting that the same voters who were bamboozled into buying Biden’s bill of goods in 2020 will come around in sufficient numbers to allow Democrats to avoid an electoral bloodbath in 2022 and 2024.
“You see a lot of upside because they say, ‘well, I’m not satisfied with the country but happy the way I am’ so that tells you that there’s potential slack in this rope,” Carville added. “So far, seeing these job numbers and what we see in the confidence that this president’s displaying — it’s a real crisis, I mean really bad stuff. I worked in Ukraine, many times — it’s encouraging, I think those numbers have really have potential for upside. I hope they do.”
The Democratic Party’s disdain for the intelligence of the American people was also made evident by Biden himself who in a recent interview suggested that Americans are too traumatized by COVID to give him the credit that he is deserving of for his miraculous economic record.

Since Carville’s MSNBC sales job, the great leader has once again retreated to his private home in Delaware to get some down time away from the pressures of the job while he leaves the heavy lifting to his handlers and surrogates.
