Biden who? Hillary attempts to pin Russian aggression on Trump and spineless GOP in tone-deaf rant

Hillary Clinton is an exhausting one-trick pony, blaming her nemesis, The Orange Man, for the woes of the world and never letting pesky facts or history or the shame of blatant hypocrisy deter her.

It’s getting old. It’s getting ridiculous. And thanks to MSNBC, it’s getting all the air time Hillary so desperately craves.

In an appearance on “Morning Joe,” Obama’s former secretary of state has predictably claimed that former President Donald Trump along with some members of the rascally Republican Party are responsible for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bold aggression against Ukraine, because, after all, they have given “aid and comfort” to the enemy.

Republicans, she claimed, played right into Putin’s plans to “undermine democracy” because they have repeatedly acknowledged that the man is smart, and for that, they should pay.

“We have to also make sure that, within our own country, we are calling out those people who are giving aid and comfort to Vladimir Putin, who are talking about what a genius he is, what a smart move it is, who are unfortunately being broadcast by Russian media, not only inside Russia, but in Europe, to demonstrate the division within our own country,” Clinton stated.

The comment was a thinly veiled jab at Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, who, as American Wire News reported, has been attacked as “un-American” for wanting to interview Putin — a desire that was translated and rebroadcasted on Russian state-run news outlet, RT; and a not-so-subtle reference to Donald Trump, who called the Russian president a “genius.”

Never mind that any real journalist would gladly give their eye teeth for a sit down with Putin, or the fact that “genius” does not denote a bromance, this is Hillary Clinton speaking, and things like context and nuanced thinking aren’t expected of her.

Luckily, others, like Glenn Greenwald, are willing to pick up the slack.

Rather than address the complexities of geopolitics or provide any actual evidence of her claims (because let’s face it, that’s a lot like work,) Clinton prefers to deal with deep emotions, such as “heartbreaking” and “dangerous” things.

And, of course, insults. Nothing unites a nation like calling most of your opponents senseless, homophobic, spineless parrots.

And yes, that’s exactly what she ended up doing later in the interview.

“This is heartbreaking,” she said, “but it’s also dangerous, and I think it’s time for what’s left of the Republican Party that has any common sense not just to say, ‘OK, go help defend Ukraine against Putin,’ but to stand against those people in politics and government, in the media and elsewhere in our own country who are literally giving aid and comfort to an enemy of freedom and democracy.”

There’s that “aid and comfort” phrase again.

Keep in mind that actually giving aid and comfort to an enemy is considered treason, a crime traditionally punishable by death, and the “elsewhere in our own country” that Clinton is referring to is you and me and anyone else who thinks we should probably stay out of a war with Russia.

It’s enough to make you scream.

Especially if you’re old enough to remember Clinton’s “Russian Reset,” as this Twitter user clearly does.

Many would like to know if Hillary has tried to get her infamous reset button, which she gleefully presented to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in 2009, back.

Nope. Not Hillary. She’ll just pretend it never happened, and hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski will let her do it, because that’s what good media hosts do when HRC is in the house.

In fact, claimed Clinton, Republicans aren’t just giving aid and comfort to Putin, they are practically inviting Communist China President Xi JinPing to set up shop in America without firing a shot.

“It can’t continue because it plays right into the ambitions of not just Putin, but also of President Xi of China to undermine democracy, to literally divide and conquer the West without ever invading us, but by setting us against each other,” Clinton stated.

It all comes down to the ascent of Donald Trump, claimed Clinton, whose ascent led to “a total loss of spine and conscience among too many Republicans, who at first saw no harm in echoing and parroting the kind of crazy stuff that Trump would say, totally against history, against common sense, as you know so well, and now they’re kind of caught in a bit of a downward spiral where they’re afraid to stand against even the most outrageous comments.”

“There’s also another element which is, these people are naïve in such a dangerous way,” she claimed. “They somehow believe that because Putin presents himself as a strong leader on behalf of certain values that are, you know, anti-gay, that are anti-freedom and democracy… that somehow that corresponds with the views of certain members and elements of the Republican Party. They could not be more mistaken. You know, this man is not — you know, he takes no prisoners, he kills them, poisons them, imprisons them, whatever.”

“And I think the naiveté, starting with Trump, has been accelerated is hard to understand,” she said. “Nevertheless, we have to deal with it and call it out. More people in the press and in politics need to be doing that.”

Cool beans, Hillary.

Why not start with a look in the mirror?
