The Canadian government is aggressively moving to end the protests that have erupted in the capital city of Ottawa as the uprising against the regime’s repressive COVID policies and vaccine mandates has inspired similar resistance movements worldwide.
On Saturday, demonstrations continued in Ottawa despite the declaration of a state of emergency as the peaceful “Freedom Convoy” protests entered their third weekend, leaving authorities angry and frustrated as they continue to draw support and politicians and media call for authoritarian measures to be brought to bear in order to quell the revolt.
With much attention being focused on the blockade of the Ambassador Bridge that has impeded trade between Canada and the U.S. with heavily armed police moving in to throw the truckers off of the key border passage between Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Ottawa police have acknowledged that they are overmatched and in need of reinforcements to end what they are now describing as an “unlawful occupation” in an escalation of rhetoric.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the OPS said, “Overnight, demonstrators exhibited aggressive behaviour towards law enforcement, including refusing to follow directions, overwhelming officers, and otherwise subverting enforcement efforts,”
“We have a plan to end this unlawful occupation and await the necessary reinforcements to do so,” the statement said while not describing exactly what it means by “reinforcements,” a chilling omission that likely doesn’t bode well for the patriotic freedom fighters who have taken to the streets to reject Canada’s COVID tyranny which is second only to Australia.
“The Ottawa Police Service is working with policing partners and all levels of government to secure the necessary additional resources to put an end to the unlawful occupation,” the statement read.
While Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has used such inflammatory terms to describe the protesters that even HBO’s Bill Maher who expressed support for the truckers said that he sounded “like Hitler” the reality is that many of those who have turned out in Ottawa are families with children and a brutal crackdown could present a major optics problem for the embattled government.

On Friday, a flustered Trudeau defended Canada as a “democratic society” while proclaiming that “everything is on the table, because this unlawful activity has to end and it will end,” after he spoke with President Joe Biden who is likely terrified that U.S. truckers form a similar convoy to protest his own COVID despotism.

As blustering Ontario Premier Doug Ford declared, “The eyes of the world are upon us,” and the coming crackdown on the protests will show that like other countries that have unleashed their paramilitary forces on unarmed civilians, that the days of Canada being a so-called liberal western “democracy” may soon be in its past.
