A Vancouver-area truck driver found himself out of a job after reportedly slowly rolling his big rig through an intersection and allegedly bumping a bicyclist who was purportedly part of a Freedom Convoy counter-protest.

A video depicts a truck in British Columbia moving at a very modest speed in the encounter as it jostled the man on the bike. Upon learning about what happened, the driver’s employer reportedly immediately fired him for allegedly falling short of the company’s safety and professionalism policy.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the confrontation that reportedly occurred on Saturday, February 5, but some contend the potential for harm was there.

“The cyclist and several others were trying to prevent the convoy from continuing towards Vancouver General Hospital, according to another participant,” CTV News reported.

People can and will choose sides, but even a seemingly minor scenario such as this plays into the false narrative pushed by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the leader of the country’s Liberal Party, and echoed by the corporate media that the Freedom Convoy encourages violence and other wrongdoing.

Ottawa, the country’s capital city in Ontario, is the epicenter of the Freedom Convoy, where thousands of peaceful protesters from the trucking industry and their supporters have assembled to register opposition to the far-left Trudeau’s draconian COVID-19 mandates.

The only reported act of actual violence has occurred in Winnipeg, Manitoba where an alleged hit-and-run motorist struck several peaceful anti-mandate protestors last Friday evening.

Cops arrested the fleeing jeep driver after a brief police chase, and he faces charges including assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm, and failing to stop at the scene of the accident.

According to the New York Post, the suspect is an Antifa punk rocker.

In the meantime, Canada’s new Conservative Party leader Candice Bergen, who appears not to be a conservative in name only, continues to hold Trudeau’s feet to the fire in parliament.

The Vancouver truck driver, who is reportedly under police investigation, is being widely condemned on social media, although he has some supporters, as reflected below.

Watch the video of the affray between the trucker and the bicyclist, aired by CTV Vancouver, and draw your own conclusions:

Separately, the Election Wizard Twitter feed last week shared a video of an incident, which a bystander described as just “pretending,” as a callback to NBA Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James who is known for trying to draw offensive fouls after incidental contact with another player.
