Two healthcare officials allegedly raked in over $1.5 million before they were arrested last week for offering bogus COVID-19 vaccination cards at a pediatric facility in Long Island.
The Suffolk County Police Department purports that the two nurses – Julie DeVuono and Marissa Urraro – were charging $220 for adults and $85 for children to get a forged vaccine card.
“As nurses, these two individuals should understand the importance of legitimate vaccination cards as we all work together to protect public health,” said Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney K. Harrison. “This is another example of great investigative police work by the SCPD, and I commend District Attorney Tierney for his partnership.”
DeVuono and Urraro both face one count of forgery. DeVuono, the owner of the Wild Child Pediatric Healthcare facility in Amityville, faces an additional count of offering a false instrument for filing.

Ledgers apparently document the profits totaling $1.5 million from the scheme that reportedly ran from Nov. 2021 to this month.

DeVuono’s attorney asserts that his client is still afforded a presumption of innocence.
“She is basically an individual who’s been licensed for years, who’s known in the community, she’s got a presumption of innocence,” her counsel, Barry Smolowitz told News12 Long Island.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson has repeatedly defended Americans forging vaccine cards as an “act of desperation” by decent people who have been forced to do so in order to keep food on their table.

“Buying a fake vaccination card is not a, quote, ‘serious crime,’” Carlson said last September. “It’s not even close to a serious crime. Buying a fake vaccination card is an act of desperation by decent, law-abiding Americans who have been forced into a corner by tyrants.”
New York Governor Kathy Hochul vehemently disagrees and signed legislation last month to outlaw phony COVID vax cards, making it a misdemeanor that can carry up to a one-year jail sentence along with a $1,000 fine.
The perpetually COVID scared were appalled by the lengths the two nurses went to in order to avoid an irreversible shot.
I am astonished that anyone except murderers would consider selling fake vaxx cards. These are licenses to kill the most vulnerable. Even drug dealers don‘t expect their clients to die or kill others.

Others noted that this may lend some credibility to the thought that the reported vax number may be inflated and how some laws “don’t actually help things get better.”

Another person on social media noted the cheap price of the fake cards as compared to the hospital bill from a potential adverse effect of the jab.
