Around the world, people are cheering on a “Freedom Convoy” of courageous Canadian truckers as they protest vaccine mandates for cross-border truck drivers.
Videos of the semis as they crawl through the snow on their way to Parliament Hill have flooded social media, creating an almost celebratory vibe that is being felt in the United States, in Europe, and elsewhere.
And despite mainstream media’s attempts to downplay the historic protest, citizen journalists have been on the job since the start of the convoy, ensuring the full scope of the event isn’t covered up or ignored.
Take, for example, this video, posted to the Twitter account of a Canadian who calls himself “Unacceptable Rowan,” that appears to show members of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) aiming its cameras away from the larger crowds, in what was criticized as an attempt to diminish for their viewers the amount of support the truckers are receiving.

The citizen, armed it seems with his cell phone, shows the scant view CBC is broadcasting, then turns around to show the actual throngs of people gathered.
“Let’s turn around and show what’s really happening here,” the citizen says, revealing crowds of bundled-up patriots, holding signs and standing with the truckers.
“Our news media won’t cover this,” he says. “They point at a couple of people. Meanwhile, this is what is really going on.”
The Freedom Convoy has attracted the attention of many social media “bluecheck” celebrities, journalists, and politicians in recent days, including billionaire Elon Musk, who sent out a flurry of tweets in support of the 50,000 truckers who have wound their way through Canadian provinces on their way to the nation’s capital.
The convoy, which left from Vancouver and headed for Ottawa on Sunday, reportedly stretched for 45 miles.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attempted to denigrate and dismiss the angry truckers in a statement made on Wednesday.
“The small fringe minority of people who are on their way to Ottawa who are holding unacceptable views that they are expressing do not represent the views of Canadians who have been there for each other, who know that following the science and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to continue to ensure our freedoms, our rights, our values, as a country,” he stated.

The statement backfired.
Almost instantly, celebs and civilians alike ran to Twitter to prove him ridiculously wrong.
Trudeau may have to redefine what a “small fringe minority” is…
It’s stretching from Manitoba to Ontario!

Trudeau is out of the communist closet. DO NOT COMPLY with him or any of his corrupt democrat and RINO friends in the United States or any other globalist pushing Build Back Better. https://t.co/dOuw0yLgAg

With tone-deaf comments like those of the prime minister, it’s no wonder citizen journalists like the one in Unacceptable Rowan’s video feel it is up to them to report the truth.
“Unbelievable. If you needed any more proof that it’s corrupt, here it is,” says the citizen journalist, as chants of “What do we want? — Freedom!” erupt from the crowd.
“Look at that amazing journalism, CBC,” the man says. “All you had to do was turn your camera in the other direction.”
