Fox News host Greg Gutfeld responded to Jen Psaki’s suggestion that crestfallen Democrats should suck down some booze and partake in kickboxing by extending a proposal to the feisty White House press secretary who he said is “my kind of lady.”
Friday’s edition of “The Five” opened with a video of Psaki’s appearance on ABC’s “The View” where she was warmly received by the show’s leftist co-hosts as she discussed the way forward after a hellish week for her boss, President Joe Biden and sought to soothe the hurt feelings of Dems whose dreams of ending the filibuster to dramatically overhaul the democratic process were shattered.
In her appeal to disappointed “voting rights” activists struggling to cope with a ‘devastating” week, Psaki said, “everyone out there who’s frustrated, sad, angry, pissed off, feel those emotions, go to a kickboxing class, have a margarita…”
Following co-host Jesse Watters’ breakdown of the Biden administration’s mounting woes, an inspired Gutfeld jokingly offered his hand in marriage to Biden’s top spinmeister, eliciting laughter from his fellow hosts, “She is my kind of lady, when you’re faced with serious problems, resort to violence and booze, beat someone up, perhaps a stranger, get loaded.
“Marry me, you red devil! She is the best thing about this administration,” he said.
Gutfeld continued, “I mean, just compared to how she was speaking to the vice president, right, it’s like there’s just no competition but I think this Sally Fields strategy for President Biden, not going to work,” referring to the idea that Americans will warm to the embattled POTUS if he takes his show on the road.
“We have come to the conclusion that less is more with Joe,” he added, wildly popular when he was chained to the rusted Peloton bike or Solo Plex – got to get my analogies straight – in the basement and then when he came out of the basement the numbers dropped so you don’t actually want to push him out there.”
Gutfeld then offered some vital advice for the embattled POTUS: “Here’s a better path for Joe if it’s not too late, stand up to the woke,” a call to reject the fanatics that comprise the party base.
“Steer your party away from the progressive abyss, and for once and for all burn your race card because every time you play the race card, you may forget about it, but we all remember it, right? I mean he doesn’t remember the things he says about this person and that person, but in this case, we do remember,” clearly referring to Biden’s race-baiting demagoguery which hit a new low during his speech in Atlanta on the day set aside in honor of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Gutfeld also said that “the idea of him getting out of D.C. to make everybody feel good” is only going to serve as a reminder that “the guy who was before him wasn’t so bad,” opining that Biden is the best thing that ever happened to former President Donald J. Trump.
Later in the segment, co-host Gillian Turner returned to Gutfeld’s proposal.
“I have reached out to the White House for comment on Greg’s marriage proposal for the press secretary,” she said. “I will let you know as soon as she gets back to me.”
After more discussion on Biden’s troubles, Turner provided an update.
“Just checking my email,” she said, “we’ve heard back from Jen Psaki, she says lot of hope but no chance,” drawing a response from Gutfeld who said, “Thank God I’m married.”
