The father of a young woman who was murdered in cold blood at the upscale Los Angeles furniture store where she worked lashed out at leftist politicians who have put the rights of criminals above law-abiding citizens, resulting in an explosion of violent crime in primarily Democrat-run cities.

A devastated Todd Kupfer spoke with Fox News about the loss of his beloved daughter Brianna in what police have described as a random attack that took place in broad daylight in the city’s Hancock Park neighborhood, another tragic example of the nightmarish descent into dystopian lawlessness that has struck in the hearts of citizens who now live in fear for their safety.

The 24-year-old UCLA graduate student was working alone at the Croft House when the alleged killer entered the premises at approximately 1:50 p.m. and brutally stabbed her, Brianna Kupfer “was not found until another customer arrived at the store and reported the incident to authorities. When they arrived on the scene, she was already deceased,” according to a report by CBS Los Angeles.

“Crime is truly spiking, and we have a lot of criminals on the streets that shouldn’t be out,” her bereaved father told Fox News.

The grieving 60-year-old added, “We have a lot of politicians that somehow forgot about people and think the key to getting elected is to support the lowest rung of our society and to give them rights and somehow that’s the answer to getting votes,”

According to Fox News, “Brianna Kupfer was studying design at UCLA and had been working part-time for about a year as a consultant at Croft House on North La Brea Avenue.”

“She was a kind soul and always was trying to make herself better and everything around her better,” said her father as he fought back tears.

“She was the kind of person we need on this Earth,” he added. “She was strong and vivacious.”

“We can’t afford to have the good constantly knocked down by the bad,” Kupfer said.

“We need to champion [my daughter] as a beacon of what’s wrong and make sure that people recognize that – because it could be their children next, and it’s just an impossible price to pay,” he said.

Kupfer’s murder comes at a time when the City Of Angels has become a hellish nightmare for residents who are not only being subjected to some of the nation’s harshest restrictions as a result of the COVID pandemic but also a surge in “smash and grab” robberies as well as nearly 400 murders last year as conditions continue to deteriorate under the dismal tenure of Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón, a ‘reform” minded crusader who is backed by leftist billionaire George Soros.

In addition to the rising body count, Los Angeles has also been plagued by a rash of train thefts in which criminals have found rail cars waiting to gain access into the city as easy pickings, leaving empty boxes and shipping envelopes strewn along the tracks in scenes reminiscent of a third-world hellhole.

Gascon, who was avidly supported by soft-on-crime Senator Bernie Sanders, is facing a recall effort but so was Gov. Gavin Newsom who easily survived despite his horrific record.
