Add “breathtakingly arrogant” U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand to the ever-expanding list of Democrats who ignore the rules for which they demand everyone else comply.

The New York liberal says, however, that she will try to do better in the future after she was allegedly caught on a surveillance camera at an Albany-area restaurant with no facial covering.

Innovo Kitchen posted the footage that purports to be Gillibrand violating the statewide indoor mask mandate with the following message:

“My problem with NY politics in a nutshell. My Senator blowing past my manager before she can even ask her to put a mask on. Walking right past a really big sign that says ‘masks required to enter.’ The masks are a mandate from the Governor. As good citizens, agree or not, we must follow our leaders. Her guest is graciously wearing one. I guess Senator Gillibrand thinks that the Governor is wrong or she is special and above the rules.”

As alluded to above, Gillibrand told Fox News Digital that “We all need to do our part to help stop the spread of Omicron and that means following state and local guidance. That includes me and I will do better going forward.”

As a member of the U.S. House from an upstate New York district, Gillibrand was considered a political moderate. Once then-Gov. David Paterson appointed her to the U.S. Senate in 2009 when Hillary Clinton became U.S. Secretary of State under Obama, however, Gillibrand went left, if not far left, and that has paid off in successful reelection bids since then.

She sought the Democrat presidential nomination in the 2020 election cycle before dropping out after a few months.

Innovo Kitchen manager John La Posta told the New York Post that “Gillibrand is part of the system that put the mask mandate in place. She thinks she’s above the law….it’s hypocritical to me. The arrogance is just breathtaking. Our politicians should be with us, not against us…People will say, ‘If Gillibrand is not wearing a mask, why should I wear a mask.'”

He also maintains that the senator owes the restaurant staff an apology.

During the pandemic, Democrats have hardly been shy about mask- or social distancing-shaming. They also have a tendency to put a mask on only when they think the corporate media cameras are around.

Served with a side order of sarcasm, Gillibrand is getting roasted on Twitter for her restaurant excursion. Here is a just a representative sample:
