Desperation over the upcoming midterm elections have Democrats and their media mouthpieces foaming at the mouth as they stir the pot of racial resentment to divide Americans against each other and resort to dark demagoguery in order to push through election “reform” that is their best hope for maintaining power.

On Wednesday, MSNBC regular Elie Mystal appeared on “The ReidOut” where he discussed a range of topics with the race-obsessed host including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a man who is despised by Democrats for his rejection of lockdowns and mandates that respected the rights of residents while preserving the economy, as well as for his opposition to critical race theory and the right to life.

When it comes to rants rooted in racial grievance, Mystal has few equals and he didn’t disappoint MSNBC viewers when he claimed that Republicans in southern states are “talking about leaving and taking their black people with them, just like before” in his latest diatribe during a segment when DeSantis and the Supreme Court were assailed by co-host Heather McGhee and Reid who called Florida “an ideological police state.”

Mystal built on the themes of President Joe Biden who just delivered one of the ugliest speeches ever by an American leader when he assailed those who oppose a bill that would effectively strip states of the ability to run their own elections as racists akin to Jefferson Davis, who was the president of the Confederate states, and segregationist George Wallace, the former governor of Alabama who, ironically, were both Democrats.

“When the Supreme Court rules with what’s called federalism, which is the idea that the states should have broad authority to kind of do whatever they want within their borders, there are a lot of people who think that is a reasonable outcome,” he said. “There are a lot of people who are center, center-left people, who think that, you know, it’s fine for the states to choose for themselves and that really, if I’m, you know, a northeastern liberal, you know, whatever.”

“Who cares about Florida? Who cares about Mississippi? I live in New York. I live in California. I’m going to be fine and there are a couple of real, deep problems with that, one of them is that most African Americans in this country still live in the states where their ancestors were enslaved, right?” he said.

Mystal continued, “If you look at the top states of African-American population by population, you’ll see Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, like those are the states, it ain’t California, it ain’t New York, it ain’t Minnesota, it’s these states so, when these Republicans, as you saw — I don’t know if you saw Marjorie Taylor Greene yesterday was just like, we just want a civil divorce from the rest of the country, when these white people in these states talk about leaving, they’re talking about leaving and taking their black people with them, just like before.

He then likened Florida’s popular governor to a slave owner, saying, “And I know that’s gonna hurt Ron DeSantis’ feefees that I’m making this analogy or comparison between what they’re doing now and what their ancestors did when they owned people, but it’s the same thought process that these states, these policies exist–these policies exist for the benefit of the white, cis, hetero males in charge.”

Mystal added, “And it’s not free for anybody else, not for the black people, not for the brown people, not for the women in these states and so we can’t as liberals, we can’t as left-of-center people just consign the South to its white supremacist fate, because we cut off our left hand when we do that, we have to fight for these people, and that means that we have to fight the Supreme Court and fight their interpretations of federalism.”

Democrats have gone totally berserk over efforts by Republican governors who are mostly in the southern states to protect election integrity since the controversial 2020 contest that ousted President Donald J. Trump and gave their party total control of Congress. And they are prepared to burn the entire system down if that’s what it takes to preserve their ability to manipulate the vote.
