Alabama football coach Nick Saban melted hearts with his touching tribute to two of his star players after a devastating loss to Georgia.
The national championship game is not one that any player wants to lose, and looking at the dejected faces of quarterback Bryce Young and linebacker Will Anderson Jr. one could tell that this loss hit hard. At the end of the post-game press conference, both players were dismissed and were about to head back to the locker room with their team when Saban stopped them and asked for just a moment of their time.
It was then that he praised the players who left everything on the field and played to the best of their ability.
“These two guys that are sitting up here, they’re not defined by one game,” he explained. “These guys played great for us all year. They were great competitors, they were great leaders on this team and they contributed tremendously to the success of this team. And we would not be here without them.”
“And both of them take responsibility for the loss, but both of them contributed in a lot of ways, in a positive way, to giving us a chance to win and a chance to be here to have an opportunity to win,” Saban continued. “So, I just wanna thank them for that and let everybody know how proud I am of these two guys.”

Twitter applauded the coach for his kind words at a time when the players clearly needed them the most:
Take this as a notice to the CF world… these two young men are going to destroy ever challenge in their path next year…. Hope everyone is ready for the Bryce revenge tour! It’s not going to be pretty for the SEC!

I think for so long society viewed it was ok for coaches to be abusive to players to somehow get them to play better.
Coaches like Nick Saban, Andy Reid, even Coach Lasso are showing a better, different kind of coaching. They are the best because the lead their team forward.

You may not be a fan of Alabama but Nick Sabin is a class act.

What a class act! I don’t like Alabama or the SEC because their financial advantages far exceed most in college football however that man is nothing but class!

I despise Alabama purely because they always win. Based on this clip you can see why they always win! What a great thing to say for those kids! Great coach.

Praise in public, criticize in private.
Share with the world all the work these young men have done, then tomorrow, give them guidance to get even better for the future.
