A whistleblower in the Canadian military is reportedly calling for an investigation into the outbreak of COVID-19 in Wuhan, China, the home of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, because of a potential super-spreader event during an equivalent to the Olympic Games that occurred before the world was alerted to the disease.
“It feels like we were present at Ground Zero of this pandemic that has had such impact on everyone’s life, with millions of deaths and economies shut down, so why not carry out due diligence. Are the facts just too big to handle?,” he wondered about the apparent reluctance by the public heath establishment to conduct a thorough investigation, according to the Daily Mail.
The officer, who is still on active duty and thus is remaining anonymous for now, “was among the scores of athletes who fell sick with a debilitating illness after attending the World Military Games in Wuhan in October 2019,” the Daily Mail reported. This occurred about two months before the CCP admitted to the first confirmed case of the virus.
“His revelations fuel concerns the Chinese government covered up the outbreak – with devastating consequences,” the Mail asserted.
“He said foreign competitors found the city of 11 million people ‘like a ghost town’, and so many cases of a mysterious virus afflicted the Canadian team that a quarantine section was set up on their military flight back home,” the tabloid news outlet, which often covers stories — for better or for worse — that the U.S. media won’t touch, added.
Approximately 9,000 athletes participated from about 100 countries in the competition, and participants from France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and Sweden also allegedly became ill. “After the Games, US athletes returned to more than 200 military bases across the country. There were confirmed infections at 63 of them before the end of March 2020,” the Daily Mail also claimed.
“The [Canadian] officer, who is still suffering from the effects of his illness despite previous high levels of fitness, said a military-appointed doctor later said he almost certainly caught Covid” the Mail declared.
Canadian armed forces officials had downplayed the risk of the soldiers catching COVID in Wuhan and reportedly imposed a gag order on any discussion of it. “However, testing for the disease was unavailable in Canada until January 2020, so participants were not checked on their return.”
The unnamed military man “admits to discomfort in disobeying such orders, but believes he has a public duty to speak out now.”
That the coronavirus may have leaked from the Wuhan lab was dismissed as a mere conspiracy theory (in large part because of animosity toward then-President Trump) until it wasn’t.
In the May 2021 time frame, with Trump no longer in office, the corporate media began vesting the story with some degree of credibility.

This occurred particularly after the Wall Street Journal reported, based on intelligence sources, that three researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology were hospitalized in November 2019 with COVID-like symptoms.
China has yet to held accountable for the global devastation that the pandemic caused. That would not be the case if President Trump was still in office.
“Last January, the US State Department said intelligence reports indicated researchers at Wuhan Institute of Virology ‘became sick in autumn 2019’ with symptoms ‘consistent with both Covid-19 and common seasonal illnesses’, although a review later ordered by President Joe Biden was inconclusive on the origin,” the Daily Mail recalled.
Controversial activist Robert Kennedy Jr., President Kennedy’s nephew, has argued that the CIA, the Pentagon, and Dr. Anthony Fauci funded gain-of-function studies in Wuhan.
In September 2021, Sky News Australia aired the report embedded below, which included a brief interview with President Trump, about the possibility of the initial outbreak at the Military Games in Wuhan.
