The merry band of censors at Twitter have claimed yet another victim, this time for posting a video of a sitting member of Congress in the latest example of how free speech is being policed by tech companies that seemingly purge views inconsistent with the official government narrative.

On Friday, the San Francisco-based corporation suspended the account of Grabien Media after a video of Rep. Andy Biggs was posted in which the Arizona Republican, who appeared on Fox News, was critical of Big Pharma and the ongoing suppression of COVID-19 treatment options including ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, both drugs with a long track record of usage but neither is as lucrative to a pharmaceutical industry that has raked in massive profits since the onset of the pandemic.

The tweet with the video read “Rep. Biggs: Big Pharma Won’t Consider Therapeutics Like HCQ or Ivermectin Because of Economic Interests,” a topic that was deemed by Twitter to be a violation of its selectively enforced policy on “spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.”

Grabien founder Tom Elliott took to Twitter to post the news using his own account following the suspension, Next-level @Twitter absurdity. My company’s account — @GrabienMedia — was just suspended for … quoting a congressman (@RepAndyBiggsAZ)” he wrote.

In a subsequent tweet, Elliott wrote, “Obviously, in this case, quoting an elected leader on an issue that matters to everyone is important and newsworthy, regardless of whether you agree,”

“And I can’t help but add that his basic point was once mainstream among progressives,” he added.

Elliott insists that the tweet did not violate Twitter’s terms of service and has appealed but has no confidence prevailing against the tech giant or that Twitter will acknowledge that the tweet was not a violation that merited the suspension.

In the video clip which is available on Grabien’s website, Biggs responds to guest host Lisa Boothe of The Ingraham Angle who invited him to comment on remarks by Dr. Marty Makary on what alternative treatments aren’t being pushed and what he believed may be behind the “vaccine or else” policy of the Biden administration.

“I think he’s right, two reasons,” replied Biggs. “Number one, when he talks about Big Pharma having other economic interests, they got on a path and they want to keep this path there and these other therapeutics aren’t really going to make them a lot of money, so you’ve got to look at the money angle for sure, but then you also have to look at the efficacy of big government married to Big Pharma here and what you see is kind of this power, this control, this move for that, that’s also what’s going on, in my opinion.”

The ongoing stifling of information that isn’t compatible with the official narrative has intensified on Twitter since new CEO Parag Agrawal replaced Jack Dorsey in November and will only continue to worsen as the critical midterm elections draw closer and the “public private partnership” pulls out all the stops to save Biden and his fellow Democrats.
