The brother of convicted sex trafficker and disgraced British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell told a UK media outlet that she won’t give authorities the names of others who may have been involved in criminal activities involving her and late financier and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

“Prosecution confirmed no plea bargain offers were made or received” before the trial, Ian Maxwell told the Sunday London Times. “I expect that position to be maintained.”

Translated, that means he doesn’t believe Ghislaine will exchange names for a shorter prison sentence, the New York Post noted, citing The Times.

The London paper went on to speculate that her refusal to provide additional names is likely welcomed by alleged co-conspirators to the various sex trafficking crimes including four women who were employed by Maxwell, 60, and Epstein and to others linked to the couple as well including Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton.

Her brother said that while she was “understandably subdued” following her conviction, she remained “strong in spirit.”

Ghislaine is facing up to 65 years in prison after she was convicted last week of trafficking minor girls as young as 14. She was described by prosecutors as being a “sophisticated predator” who was responsible for “one of the worst crimes imaginable.”

Meanwhile, Epstein, then 66, died while awaiting charges for alleged child sex crimes in 2019 while in custody, and reportedly by his own hand.

Ghislaine, however, “is not now, nor has ever been, a suicide risk,” her brother told The Times. “She knows there are many people, including her family of course, who love and support her and who believe in her innocence.”

He added: “She will be appealing her conviction. She is a fighter and a survivor.”

Meanwhile, her younger husband, Scott Borgerson, 46, who secretly married Ghislaine in 2016, has reportedly moved on and is now involved with a writer and yoga instructor roughly his age, DailyMail.com reported.

Correspondent Daphne Barak reported that Ghislaine learned that her husband had “moved on” during a tense phone call she had with him behind bars.

“There was a dramatic phone call between them, while she was in jail in solitary confinement. It became confrontational,” said a close friend of Maxwell, according to Barak. “Scott told her he had moved on and was seeing someone else.”

“The marriage was past tense there and then. It’s over. The marriage was over before the trial started,” the person added.

Another source said: “He did not attend a single day of her trial. Read into that what you will.”

At one point, Borgerson had offered to put up millions of dollars to help secure Maxwell’s $28.5 million bail.

She and Borgerson were living at a beachside home at Manchester-on-Sea, Mass. when Epstein was arrested in 2019 and charged with child sex crimes. At that point, she bailed from the home, ostensibly “to protect her stepchildren,” one source told Barak.

“Once their home had been discovered she left, mostly to protect the children. They were being teased at school. Anyone associated with Ghislaine finds they become toxic,” the source added.

“When Epstein died the Maxwell family decided to protect their sister from the media and people who might be out to hurt her. She had a lot of death threats. The Maxwells insisted on sending her away but Scott insisted he could protect her if someone tried to invade their property,” the source continued, noting further: “Scott would fly to see her when she was traveling around.”
