America’s law enforcement has a friend in actor Rob Schneider who recently appeared on Fox News to express his appreciation for the men and women in blue.
Schneider, who has been an actor, comedian, and screenwriter over his career, went on “Fox & Friends” on Thursday to talk about his feelings towards the police, in particular the law enforcement of Arizona.
When Schneider’s car broke down on December 22nd, police responded to a report of a “disabled vehicle” in North Scottsdale. Police helped Schnieder get his Tesla back into operation and sent the renowned actor on his way.
While speaking to “Fox & Friends,” Schneider spoke in glowing terms for Arizona’s officers and American law enforcement in general:
“These are just really good, hardworking Americans – their job is to protect citizens who don’t listen to their wives, like me, and get stuck on the side of the road. I’m grateful to the Scottsdale PD.”
Commenting on the anti-police trend that’s caught on in certain quarters, Schnieder disagreed, stating that he felt that the cop-hating rhetoric was “unwarranted.”
“Things break down really quickly without police and without that protection. You’re gonna need that. You’re gonna want that. And I do think that they’re maligned, and it’s unwarranted,” said Schneider.
“These are the people that will run into a building as opposed to people trying to run out. These are the people we need to show our appreciation to,” Schneider continued.

At the time of the incident involving his vehicle, Schneider had taken to Twitter to praise the Scottsdale police:

The officer who responded to the disabled vehicle report, Paul Lee, briefly spoke to Phoenix affiliate Fox 10 about the incident. Lee expressed surprise at finding that he recognized the driver, who has starred in multiple movies over his career. Lee said that his experience with Schneider was a “nice interaction” during a national mood with a “lot of negativity.”
Schneider is currently going on tour in the U.S. through New Year’s for his “I Have Issues” stand-up comedy tour.
