A handful of people fed-up with New York’s vaccine mandates were arrested on Monday after being denied service at a Burger King restaurant and then refusing to leave.

Mitchell Bosch, Michael Mitchell, Augusto Alarcon, Ethan Boisvert and Bradford Solomon were issued desk appearance tickets and charged with trespassing and remaining unlawfully inside the Burger King after refusing to provide proof of vaccination cards, as is required to dine indoors.

Video of the incident shows people shouting at the police, saying things like “shame on you” and that the men being arrested aren’t criminals, and haven’t done anything wrong.

Social media reaction was mixed, though most people aimed their displeasure at the police for enforcing the mandate:

Mitchell Bosch is no stranger to this kind of protest. He has been arrested twice before for similar protests at The Cheesecake Factory and Applebee’s,

The Cheesecake Factory incident went viral after a group of protesters entered the eatery and refused to show their vaccine cards to the staff. After being asked to leave the building, they stayed, and the police were called. Bosch was charged with criminal trespassing in that case as well.

The New York Police Department has come under fire for enforcing what critics see as an unconstitutional mandate. In one tear-jerking video, a frightened young boy is seen crying as police surround his family’s table at a restaurant and demand they leave after they declined to share their medical information with the wait staff. A lady off-camera, presumably the one filming the interaction, berates the NYPD officers repeatedly and when one of them tried to get lippy with her, she shut him down hard.

“Is this what you signed up for? Is this what justice looks like?” the off-screen woman demanded of the officers as they stand there. “Is this what you dreamed of when you wanted to be a cop?”
