If Dr. Anthony Fauci were to retire in the near future, he would be making an estimated $350,000 a year which would be the largest retirement package in federal government history.
Forbes crunched the numbers, estimating that after 55 years in public service, Fauci will be living quite comfortably if he chooses to retire soon. It was also revealed that in 2020, Fauci made a massive $434,312, out-earning the United States president’s $400k yearly pay.
Currently, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director isn’t looking toward retirement, but at 81, that is a possibility that is inching ever-closer.
Still, though, the doctor is not without his fans.
MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace is loudly and proudly admitting that she is “a Fauci groupie, a thrice-vaccinated, mask adherent” who buys “KN95 masks by the caseload.” Despite that, however, she has a “fatalistic” outlook regarding the continuing pandemic.
Needless to say, a large segment of Twitter was not impressed with the news of Fauci’s “golden parachute”:
When they say follow the money…follow the money.
