Kevin Durant doubles down on leaving 13 yr-old 'hurt and confused' with random Twitter diss

Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant is sticking to his guns after shading a 13-year-old on Twitter and leaving him “hurt and confused.”

The Twitter account “Overtime” posted a brief clip of Jayden Moore attempting a flashy ball move during a game, which ended up missing. According to the child, he had seen the move on social media and bet his father $10 that he could pull it off during a school game. While he wasn’t able to do so, it was still a commendable attempt for such a young player.

However, Durant saw differently, retweeting the clip and saying “This s**t stinks.”

It wasn’t long until Moore’s family caught wind of the tweet.

“Like, what made him take time out of his day to say something negative instead of encouraging me or telling what really needs to be done and then texting me privately or something like that,” the young man asked.

Moore’s coach chalked the comment up to “immaturity” on the pro baller’s part.

“There’s almost an immaturity with them to take the time to even go on Twitter and look at that and comment,” he added. “In fairness to them, I’m sure they’re trying to create what they see as better basketball, people sharing. And maybe they’re making a comment trying to say that. But they just got to realize who they’re saying it to.”

Even Durant’s followers wondered why he had called out a child for a failed move. This caused him to double down:

Others say that Durant was using “constructive criticism” to help the kid get better and that those questioning his tact are just too soft to understand.

Most of these kids try to do all the fancy stuff without mastering the fundamentals. It’s very annoying seeing kids who can’t make a regular layup do all this fancy dribbling like they are James Harden.
