NBA team reinstates unvaxxed player Kyrie Irving because their vaxxed players are sick too

Kyrie Irving, star player of the Brooklyn Nets, was sidelined this year because he refused to comply with New York City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, but oh, how the tables have turned.

As more Nets players drop due to breakthrough cases (meaning fully-vaccinated players catching coronavirus) and injuries, the team’s management made the decision to allow Irving to play, so long as the game takes place outside of New York.

It appears they have reconsidered their stance after it looked like their season was in jeopardy, implying that it was never about the vaccine in the first place. They simply wanted Irving to comply in order to be able to play the game.

Regardless of the motivations behind letting Irving back on the court, he is just happy to be able to play.

However, he won’t be jumping back into the game just like that. As he’s been out for quite some time, he will likely need time to train and get back into peak form.
