Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has taken a lot of heat from the media regarding his COVID vaccination status, and he claims that he might know who is leaking information about him to the press.
Since the dust-up regarding whether he’s fully vaccinated, Rodgers has been in the media quite a bit regarding his medical information. While he’s been rather forthcoming with details, he still believes there are leaks among the ranks, though he can’t (or won’t) name names. He dropped the bombshell during a discussion regarding his “Covid toe” on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
The host mentioned that there have been conflicting reports regarding whether Rodgers was going to be undergoing an incredibly minor procedure on his toe, and a frustrated Rodgers noted that he wasn’t sure where this information was coming from.
“With these reports – I don’t know where they’re coming from,” Rodgers claimed. “I don’t know who’s talking. It seems like there are certain coaches that may have friends in the media that they don’t realize are actually just trying to report things.”
He then confided that there have been leaks in the past that appear to have been intentional, perhaps causing him to wonder if his own information has been similarly leaked.
“There were guys for a while who had their people who they would leak stuff to,” he admitted.
Rodgers’ media saga began when he told the press that he was “immunized” against COVID-19, though that did not mean that he had received any of the available vaccines. This caused an uproar of the “woke mob” who accused him of lying about his vax status.
At the time he also took to the “Pat McAfee Show” in an attempt to set the record straight regarding his medical choices.
“I realize I’m in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now. So before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket, I think I would like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies that are out there about myself,” he explained.
“It wasn’t some sort of ruse or lie. It was the truth. … I have an allergy to an ingredient that’s in the mRNA vaccines. … And so I looked into and talked, again, to a lot of medical individuals and professionals and found that there was an immunization protocol that I could go to, to best protect myself and my teammates,” Rodgers continued.
“And it was a long-term protocol that involved multiple months. I’m very proud of the research that went into that and the individuals that I met with and we felt like it was what was best for me,” he concluded.
