Jesse Kelly agrees Omar not a terrorist, offers epic reason why ‘a sane country’ would still deport her

Conservative commentator and talk show host Jesse Kelly blasted Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) in response to a social media post in which the “squad” member singled out Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert for alleged “anti-Muslim bigotry.”

The controversy began last week after a video of Boebert at a political event circulated in which she recounted an alleged incident involving Omar.

“So the other night on the House floor was not my first jihad squad moment,” Boebert told a crowd. “I was getting into an elevator with one of my staffers and he and I were leaving the Capitol, we’re going back to my office and we get in the elevator and I see a Capitol Police officer running hurriedly to the elevator. I see fret all over his face. And he’s reaching. The door is shutting. I can’t open it.

“What’s happening? I look to my left and there she is, Ilhan Omar, and I said, ‘Well she doesn’t have a backpack, we should be fine,'” Boebert said in a remark that seemed to imply she could be a suicide bomber.

“So we only had one floor to go and I say, do I say it or do I not? And I look over and I say, ‘Look, the jihad squad decided to show up for work today.’ Don’t worry, it’s just her staffers on Twitter that talk for her. She’s not tough in person,” Boebert added.

The Colorado freshman would later apologize to Muslims in general, but her remark was still blasted by political opponents.

Far-left political organization MoveOn singled out Boebert on Twitter, writing, “Lauren Boebert’s Islamophobic comments directed at @IlhanMN are not just appalling and outrageous, but dangerous. We decry this type of language and demand accountability.”

Omar quoted that tweet and added her own message: “Saying I am a suicide bomber is no laughing matter. @GOPLeader and @SpeakerPelosi need to take appropriate action, normalizing this bigotry not only endangers my life but the lives of all Muslims. Anti-Muslim bigotry has no place in Congress.

That said, Omar herself has been accused of repeatedly making anti-Semitic, anti-Israel comments including by Democrats, and has been criticized for comparing the United States government of behaving like a terrorist country.

Also, Omar’s response, in turn, drew blowback from Kelly, who hosts “I’m Right” on The First streaming network.

“You’re not a terrorist. You’re an America-hating, Jew-hating communist with terrorist sympathies,” he tweeted. “A sane country would have deported you back to the dump you came from. Instead, you walk the halls of Congress and try to destroy this country from within.”

Other Twitter users jumped in as well to remind Omar of some past examples when she was cited for bigotry as well as supporting American enemies.
