Former New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind appeared on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends First” Wednesday to discuss the failed approach of left-wing district attorneys and their allies in Congress who have succeeded in enacting criminal bail reform at the great expense of law-abiding citizens.

Such disastrous policies most recently resulted in the deaths of at least six people and injuries to dozens of others after the Christmas parade slaughter in Waukesha, Wisconsin on Sunday.

The former assemblyman was particularly incensed and railed against leftist prosecutors as well as Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for their support of bail reform, among other radical notions of justice reform that essentially decriminalize everything if the politics are the right brand.

The career criminal charged in the killings, Darrell Brooks, had been released on a paltry $1,000 bail for a separate crime just weeks before the carnage. Hikind reacted to the negligence of leftist lawmakers and their inhumane deference to criminals over victims.

It’s beyond belief what’s going on. These elected officials should be arrested for negligence. They are responsible for caring more about the criminals than they care about the civilians, than they care about you, me, and everyone else. People being arrested again and again back into the streets.

What does that do to law enforcement? What does that do to the rest of us? They are pathetic. It is shameful, it is disgusting what is going on. People committing crimes again and again? 50 pages of records of crimes committed before the individual in Wisconsin is finally, you know $5 million bail, those people who were murdered by this individual.

Do you know who’s responsible? The DA should be arrested!

Left-wing Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, who is now conducting an internal investigation into his own office in the matter of Brooks’ low-cost release, was flippant in his previous defense of bail reform, saying in 2007: “Is there going to be an individual I divert, or put into [a] treatment program, who’s going to go out and kill somebody? You bet. Guaranteed. It’s guaranteed to happen. It does not invalidate the overall approach.”

Hikind responded to Chisholm’s quote, declaring “These radical Democrats are just pathetic in their behavior.”

“It’s beyond comprehension what they are doing. They are murderers themselves,” he said.

“I’m sorry to say this, but I wish someone in his family, or Tlaib, or AOC, was victimized by criminals … I wonder if they would have the same attitude about letting these criminals out in to the streets again and again and again,” he pondered.

The discussion continued over the hypocrisy in which elected officials who push for policies that leave citizens vulnerable to criminals at-large are the same politicians who have private security of their own – a luxury most cannot afford, though the Left consistently attack Americans’ 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

Hikind said of the treacherous lawmakers, “We are being victimized. Shame on them. Shame on them.”

Hikind, a Democrat, said his party is committing political suicide by casting their pearls among radical progressives like Tlaib, AOC, and Rep. Ilhan Omar, who now appear to hold sway in the Democratic Party and who – along with leftist DA’s across the country – show regard only for criminals and not for civilians who are suffering the scourge.

“This must stop,” he concluded.
