Fox News’ Brit Hume appeared on “Special Report” with Bret Baier Monday and said he believes that President Joe Biden will not seek reelection in 2024, suggesting the president may not even finish out his current term.

“I don’t think it’s at all clear that he intends to run again, but I do think as a political matter, you have to say that,” Hume remarked.

The instant he makes it known that he is not running, Hume argued, Biden becomes a lame duck — “and lame-duck presidents don’t do well,” he said, adding that any influence a president has – real or perceived – disappears as soon as he is regarded as a lame duck.

He went on to say it’s not close to certain the president would, in fact, run again or “be in any condition to.”

“In fact, I think the thing we have to watch is the question of whether he serves out his first term. He’s clearly deteriorating, he’s clearly senile, and his health is — despite his doctor’s claims to the contrary — you know, when you’re falling downstairs and so on, as he did climbing the stairs to Air Force One, that’s worrisome.”

Former prosecutor and South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy did not make any similar assertations on the president’s health, telling Baier, “I have no idea about the president’s cognitive abilities. That’s not my background.”

“He’s always had an affected manner of speech for 25 years,” Gowdy added.

He went on to say that if Biden does indeed run again, it’s likely “a lot of ambitious young Democrats” would run against him. Gowdy said that even his current vice president, Harris, didn’t think he would be the Democratic Party nominee in 2020.

VP Kamala Harris is currently experiencing a drought of confidence in her abilities, according to nationwide polling.

As reported by BPR in early November,

Americans may be disgusted with Biden but his fans can take some solace in that he is more popular than Vice President Kamala Harris who is even more disliked. The inexperienced former senator, who was the beneficiary of a promise to kingmaker Rep. James Clyburn that a black woman be on the ticket, clocked in at an atrocious 28 percent.

Before pulling out of the 2020 presidential race with somewhere around three percent in approval, she labeled then-candidate Joe Biden as a racist but was quick to jump at the chance to be his insignificant other in the executive branch of the U.S. government. Biden, for his part, has committed innumerable gaffes and racist comments over his tenure in politics, going so far as to say that if any black person considered voting for Donald Trump in 202o, that “you ain’t black.”

Biden turned 79 on Saturday, Nov. 20th, and since he’s a Democrat, any controversial thing he does or says is largely overlooked by mainstream media.
