Rage Against The Machine, once a popular dissident rock band, posted a short Twitter thread Friday evening proving once again that these days it’s in the business for raging for the machine — namely the liberal Democrat Party machine.
In the Twitter thread, the band echoed the Democrat Party’s every talking point regarding Kyle Rittenhouse, who was acquitted earlier that day on the grounds that he’d acted in self-defense against the three violent extremists he’d shot.
“What defines innocence in America? Tamir Rice was executed for playing with a toy. Nobody was charged. Ahmaud Arbery went jogging and was murdered in broad daylight. Rittenhouse armed himself and killed people who were fighting for racial justice. He claimed self-defense,” the band wrote.
“This is the settler logic of America’s founding myth: whiteness must cast itself as the victim in order to justify its violence against those resisting its oppression. Welcome to the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.”
Notice the use of meaningless “woke” buzzwords like “settler logic,” “whiteness” and “oppression.”

In the case of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, concerned citizens reported him to police on Nov. 22 of 2014 after spotting him seemingly waving around a gun. When the authorities arrived, they told him to raise his hands, but instead he moved as if about to draw a gun. One officer opened fire, killing him. After carefully reviewing the evidence, a grand jury declined to indict the officer who’d opened fire.
Learn more about the evidence below:
Note also that the gun he’d been spotted holding was quite large.
Look:
Just to illustrate the absurdity of the point you’re trying to make. Here’s the toy that Tamir Rice reached for as he was approached by police. Let’s not act like he was gunned down for playing with a Tonka Truck. pic.twitter.com/70Ytriqfa1

Tamir Rice was walking around the area pointing the gun at people and the police received calls of a man with a gun – they were not told that it might be a teen so they responded to “man with a gun” Tamir was also 5′ 7″ tall and weighted 195lbs so easily mistaken for an adult pic.twitter.com/T7svURnOFC

I doubt any one of you shitheads could distinguish between the replica Tamir pulled and the real handgun, laying side by side. You damn sure could not do in the time it takes to process it being pointed at you

In the case of Ahmaud Arbery, the men who allegedly murdered him last April are all currently on trial and could very well be convicted.
He was fatally shot by the defendants when, while trying to question him about some local burglaries that he was suspected of having committed, he allegedly attacked them.
Because the defendants are white and Arbery is black, there’s been a general assumption by many that he was gunned down because of racism.
However, video evidence does seem to corroborate the defendants’ claim:
Watch the video again. Arbery stopped running away by veering radically to his left around the front of the truck, charged at McMichael, wrestled with him, tried with both hands to rip the rifle from McMichael.
Arbery did the opposite of Rittenhouse.

Arbery fit the description of the guy who had been robbing this neighborhood for months.
After you admired the construction work quality, did you try to wrestle with someone hold a gun and then try to rip it from their hands? If you had would you expect a good outcome?

This area had been attacked by a robber for months. He fit Arbery’s descrip. Neighbor outside called 911, Arbery saw it & ran.
Had he just done that there would have been no story. But he veered away from the route to leave to charge at McMichael.
Arbery wasn’t out for a jog.

Rittenhouse’s case instead involved a 17-year-old teen showing up during the Kenosha riots in 2020 to provide medical aid and protect businesses.
While doing just that, he was first threatened with death by a left-wing extremist and then later chased by this same extremist.
Video footage showed that he opened fire at the last moment as the extremist was about to catch up to him and presumably hurt him.
He then tried to flee to the police to report what had happened, but instead he was chased by three more extremists. At some point, he tripped and fell, and the extremists began attacking him. He opened fire, killing two and injuring a third.
Despite the evidence being on his side and a jury of his peers acquitting him, the entire establishment left has and continues to maintain that he’s guilty of murder.
And as Rage Against The Machine’s latest tweet storm makes clear, the former dissident band clearly now has a vested interest in fighting for the establishment — not against it:

Rage on Behalf of The Machine at it again Shilling in The Name Of (the establishment).

I can read this exact shit in the corporate press. Performative anti racism is an establishment rite nowadays.
What machine are you raging against?

I’m 47, and began listening to Rage as a kid because they bucked the establishment. I’m still the same guy, yet you’re not. KR was there that night b/c the govt and law refused to do anything to stop biz’s and a city being burnt to the ground. What happened to you guys?

RATM is part of the establishment’s propaganda apparatus. They remind me of the Soviets who, decades after they seized power in Russia, continued to refer to themselves as revolutionaries while stamping out dissidents. Cuba still does this, despite there being no real opposition.
