Earlier in November, the “Astroworld Festival” in Houston claimed the lives of eight people and injured hundreds due to a stampeding crowd; a death toll that has risen to 10 after two more people recently succumbed to their injuries.

An investigation is underway that has so far uncovered that the festival’s emergency response plan “never once mentions how to handle a dangerous crowd surge.” The festival’s organizers as well as artist Travis Scott are currently being sued.

On “Fox News Primetime” Monday, Jesse Watters hosted a Catholic priest who said he believes that satanic influence was the cause of the avoidable tragedy.

Watters spoke with Father Michael Maginot and asked him, “What signs did you see at that concert that would lead to you believe there was a satanic role?”

The priest, who is said to be an expert on exorcisms and demonic possession, noted that the entrance of the concert was a large skull-like representation of Travis Scott’s head, the mouth of which patrons had to enter to gain access to the grounds. Maginot said that the human mouth is a prime object for demonic possession because it is used for the communication of ideas.

“The stage we’re seeing right now, that looks to you like the gates of hell the way that I guess they designed that?” Watters asked.

“It seemed like it wanted you to go to the other side and so it did seem, you’re kind of going down, you know, Dante’s Inferno, various stages of hell,” Maginot said. “People are kind of being induced to push forward not realizing the havoc you could cause.”

Watters then asked Maginot if he thought that Scott’s lyrics indicated satanic leanings or inspiration from a diabolical source.

“I can’t really start rapping here. But, I mean, have you listened to the music before and have you discerned any sort of influence by Satan?” he asked.

“Certain vibrations and drum beats and riffs and things get to motivate a person like any music can,” Maginot responded. “But this one does seem to be dark and leading to the darker side of things.”

Maginot also suggested that demons are eager to promote a mob mentality, and he likened what happened at the concert to the mobs and protests that have ravaged American cities since 2020. He added that mob mentality robs the individual of moral responsibility because everyone is moving toward the same end.

“[Demons] love that, because they can create a lot of havoc without making people question it,” he said.

Maginot went on to say that a lot of musical artists are compelled to do more and more outrageous things in order to receive what Satan has promised them in terms of wealth and fame.
