Wishing you had something to eat while listening to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” on an endless loop in every store? Well now you can, thanks to “The Mariah Menu” at McDonald’s.
The Christmas promo by McDonald’s features 12 days of deals, set to begin on December 13th. The deals include some giveaways with purchases, including everything from the iconic McDonald’s cheeseburger to soft-baked chocolate chip cookies are part of the giveaways.
Carey was featured in the unveiling YouTube video, declaring that McDonald’s was “one of [her] absolute favs” and that she “got [her] holiday wish this year: my very own menu…”
“Some of my favorite memories with my kids are our family trips to McDonald’s, and of course, each of us has our go-to order. Mine is the Cheeseburger, and I get it with extra pickles. Bringing together some of our favorite food from McDonald’s with my all-time favorite season is a holiday wish come true.”
McDonald’s itself seemed to tacitly acknowledge Carey’s association with corporate Christmas, thanks to her 1994 hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” in a statement from Jennifer Healan, Vice President, U.S. Marketing, Brand Content and Engagement of McDonald’s USA:
“Mariah goes with the holidays like ketchup and fries, so we couldn’t think of a better partner to help us celebrate the upcoming season,” Healan said. “Just like McDonald’s brings people around the table with their favorite orders, Mariah’s music connects us all during this time of the year. We’re so excited to team up to bring even more holiday cheer to our fans.”

The love for Carey was strong, though, and the usual vicious mockery of anything and everything on Twitter was noticeably absent apart from the bizarre Tweet above:

Even the box you get your order in will get a makeover during the 12 days, featuring festive and gaudy Christmas themed packaging, in accordance with the style preferred by Carey, whose love for the glamor of the season is well known, even apart from her 1994 song.

The deals are also perhaps a promotion for the McDonald’s app, as they will be made exclusively through the app, where you can place orders, and then go to the “deals” section to add the giveaways to your order.
There is currently no confirmation if McDonald’s employees will be subjected to her song on a 24/7 loop while the promotion lasts.
