On Fox News’ “Hannity” Thursday, host Sean Hannity spoke with three former West Point cadets who were effectively driven from the military academy because of its philosophical shift in values as well as for refusing to submit to the COVID vaccine.

Although the stated policy of the academy was that vaccinations were optional for cadets, the trio nevertheless endured targeting and harassment which eventually took a toll on their well-being and paralyzed their military career endeavors. It all came to a head on September 27th, following the U.S. government-imposed vaccine mandate.

Cadets were then “instructed in a meeting to either get vaccinated, file for an exemption or separate from the academy,” Hannity said. According to several cadets in attendance, they were denied legal counsel after being assured they could acquire it.

Willow Brown, who left the academy in the spring, explained the reasoning behind her decision to leave West Point.

“I went to the academy hoping to serve my country and bring the fight to the enemy. I found myself instead in the classroom learning about how to be more sensitive, and this woke ideology that had taken over West Point really surprised me.

She continued, “As this vaccine came out, I hesitated and no questions were answered. I figured I was not learning how to better serve my country. I was instead learning about white rage and I knew I had to leave. The country was becoming less safe. Students were not learning about [the] Chinese, they were learning about how to be more sensitive and I thought it was ridiculous.”

Another former cadet, Nickaylah Sampson, agreed with Brown.

“I thought it was ridiculous. It really had nothing to do with bettering yourself as an Army officer,” she said.

Hannah Macdonald was not only a cadet but an English tutor as well. She told Hannity that a lot of the students assigned to her were writing papers on Critical Race Theory and socialism. When she inquired as to why her fellow cadets were writing about such philosophies, they replied that although they didn’t agree with it, they felt it would make their professors happy and that their papers were consistent with the books they were reading in the classroom.

Hannity then expressed his own sentiment, saying, “As every single person that I’ve known in my life that ever went to any of the academies, West Point in particular, they all dreamed of this from the time they were little. It was their life-long dream. Was that the case with all three of you?” he asked.

Macdonald responded, “Growing up in a Christian household and understanding that there is no greater love than to lay down your life for someone else, I was very eager to align those values of service and love with the Army,” she said, adding, “I was just very disappointed coming to West Point and realizing that’s not what the Army stood for anymore.”

Sampson told Hannity that she felt obligated to follow in her father’s footsteps as he was an Army officer.

“I really thought my life was going to be wrapped around West Point, for at least the next four years … but that’s not what happened,” she said.

Brown said she felt called to serve her country, but her expectations of West Point were not realized. She left before the vaccine mandate went into effect citing the political indoctrination that was in conflict with her values.

All three of the former cadets said they would not have stayed enrolled at West Point even if the academy simply allowed them to get tested for COVID regularly instead of requiring vaccinations.

Macdonald summed it up beautifully:

“I wasn’t just resisting an injection. I was resisting a kingdom that glorifies ignorance, submission and unethical behavior. Frankly, I was just very upset with the trajectory of our government right now, and realizing they didn’t want me to lay down my life for my brothers and sisters, but for a political agenda.”
