Democrats lost in Virginia on Tuesday, and now the hunt is on for who is truly to blame.
Could it be that their candidates aren’t the most likable or relatable people? Or perhaps their policies don’t reflect what grassroots Americans truly want? Could the Lincoln Project tiki torch stunt have possibly harmed the image of Democrats in any way?
According to Twitter, the problem isn’t any of the above, it’s white women.
Once again, racism, sexism, and the evil of whiteness has swooped in and stolen victory from the jaws of defeat, and none of them would hear otherwise. White women voted “to protect their white sons” and somehow that’s a very bad thing.
White women vote to protect their white sons. That's it.

Does that make upset you? According to Morgan Kilday, it should. And if it does, she’s talking about you.
If you’re mad about this I’m talking to you. Stay mad.

Her tweets must have gotten too much of the wrong kind of attention because it didn’t take long for her to turn off the replies. Not before some hilarious users got their jabs in, though:

Or what about white women who have mixed sons??? The original tweet is so offensively racist, it's pukeworthy.

Naive question. Non-American not familiar with American culture.
Is it common in your country where mothers don’t protect/care about their children? Eg. I don’t understand why you have a problem with that?

Yes! Keep calling parents racists. It’s bound to work in 2022 and 2024!

Perhaps Kilday was the kind of voter failed gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe was attempting to appeal to when he dismissed the concerns of parents as “generated by Glenn Youngkin” and said that parents shouldn’t have a role to play in forming curricula for their children.
“I’m not gonna let parents come into schools and actually take books out and make their own decisions,” McAuliffe had said. “I stopped the bill that I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

It wasn’t a position that appeared to help him, however, as he lost his race to Republican Glenn Youngkin. Despite initially refusing to concede the race to his opponent, McAuliffe officially congratulated Youngkin on his win Wednesday morning.
Perhaps someone should tell people like Morgan Kilday that their anti-parent stance isn’t winning over voters, but it’s doubtful they will listen.
