Left-wing climate change extremists on Thursday harassed West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin outside of where he reportedly docks his houseboat in Southwest D.C.
Led by the Sunrise Movement, the far-left group made famous when they tried siccing a mob of little children on Sen. Dianne Feinstein in 2019, the protesters chose the spot with the intent of showing that the senator is “bought-out.”
“This action in front of his yacht club is to highlight that he is a bought-out politician,” movement member Kidus Girma told Fox News.
He added that he and his comrades want President Joe Biden’s controversial Build Back Better agenda — which is being held up by Sens. Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema — to be passed, pronto.
Watch below as the radical protesters chant “we want to live” as Manchin tries to leave his houseboat:

The irony is that the only ones who’ve been preventing them from living are themselves.
“Girma [said] that Thursday’s protest came after a scheduled 14-day hunger strike that he and others recently ended ‘to refuel our bodies and bring the fire to Senator Manchin,'” Fox News reported.
“A hunger strike is a method of protest during which food is refused. It is mostly used by those who have no other form of protest available — usually prisoners. Such an action is often aimed at protesting prison conditions, achieving a policy change, or bringing attention to a certain case or cause,” according to RFE/RL.
“By refusing food (or food and fluids, in the case of what’s called a dry hunger strike), protesters put their lives in danger, risking permanent damage to their health and, eventually, death,” the U.S. government-funded publisher notes.
Whoops …
Watch below as the extremists sing “where you go I will go, my friend, because your people are my people, your people are my people” while holding up signs reading “Joe Manchin Is Burning Our Future For Profit” … :

With lyrics like that, it’s presumed they’re also huge fans of “Imagine,” the ditty written by deceased rock legend John Lennon that he himself once admitted is a virtual rendition of the “Communist Manifesto.”
.@Sen_JoeManchin, you sold our future to fossil fuels.
You’re a millionaire killing the rest of us so you can make more money.
Fuck you. pic.twitter.com/BCWU1Fcjw6

We demand Senate Democratic Leadership remove @Sen_JoeManchin from his position as Chair of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee as a clear, egregious conflict of interest.

“As we watch Manchin obstruct, obstruct, obstruct critical legislation that’s important for human existence on this planet, we want Senate leadership, President Biden to recognize that he is not a good faith actor – as they already know – and just start naming and shaming him,” Girma added in his criticisms of Manchin.
This “naming and shaming” is unlikely to change much. If anything, critics of the far-left suspect that the senator will only grow more unwilling to budge. Especially given the stunning nationwide defeats Democrats faced during Tuesday’s election.
Speaking on Fox News a day after the election, Manchin expressed hope that the defeats would serve as a “wake-up” call to the rest of his colleagues who’ve been pushing hard to pass the president’s controversial agenda.
“I hope it’s a wake-up call for all of us. I’m concerned. I’ve been talking about our debt, I’ve been talking about inflation, [and] I’ve been talking about the [economic] fallout we may have [from the spending bills],” he said.
But his concerns have been dismissed. In fact, on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi essentially gave him the middle finger by announcing she’d be re-adding four weeks of paid family and medical leave to the Build Back Better bill being debated.
And then during her weekly presser Thursday afternoon, she doubled down:
“With all the respect in the world for the point of view he represents, I disagree,” Speaker Pelosi tells @rachelvscott about Sen. Manchin’s opposition to paid family leave in spending bill. “I think that this is appropriate for this legislation.” https://t.co/d3AG57EoD2 pic.twitter.com/jeWdKhgt25

“The speaker’s move amounted to the most direct challenge yet of Mr. Manchin, a centrist who has repeatedly voiced concern that the social safety net bill is overly generous, and whose objections have effectively compelled Democratic leaders to either curtail or remove a number of provisions,” The New York Times reported.
It doesn’t appear the House Speaker is listening. And judging by the protests outside the senator’s houseboat, it appears the Democrat Party base — or at least the more radical elements of it — isn’t listening either.
