‘I’m told to start with AP’: Biden clutches cheat sheet, follows orders like a good puppet at G20

In another example of how tightly Joe Biden’s handlers control his press conferences, the “leader” of the free world acknowledged that he was being told which reporters to call on.

On Sunday, Biden spoke to reporters at the big G20 meeting in Rome where he and other world leaders discussed issues with the global battle against climate change being a top priority.

When Biden invited questions after speaking with his counterparts, he let it slip that he was given a list of who would get to lob their scripted softball questions at the often befuddled president, providing more fuel to critics who contend that he isn’t the one who is calling the shots.

“And now I’m happy to take some questions and I’m told to start with AP, Zeke Miller,” said Biden. “Zeke, you have a question?”

The first question was an obvious set-up to allow Biden to spin the horrific numbers of an NBC News poll showing that his job approval rating is sinking fast that an astounding 71 percent of Americans believe that the country is headed in the wrong direction.

After mentioning Biden’s stalled domestic agenda, the reporter asked, “So why should the world believe that when you say “America is back,” that really it’s here to stay?”

Biden replied “Because of the way they reacted. You were here. They listened. Everyone sought me out. They wanted to know what our views were. And we helped lead what happened here.”

He added, “It’s just very simple: You know, if you’re honest — you are honest; I didn’t mean to imply you weren’t — but that we were — we got significant support here. Significant support. We’re the most — the United States of America is the most critical part of this entire agenda, and — and we did it.”

It’s not the first time that Biden has acknowledged that he is relying on a list to call on reporters.

He did so in Geneva where he met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in June and again in August following the terrorist suicide bombing that killed over 200 people including 13 U.S. service members at Kabul’s airport during the evacuation of Afghanistan.

Biden was also using a list last year when he was only a candidate, a preview of what has had the appearance of a staged reality TV show presidency.

Further contributing to the perception that Biden isn’t completely there was the fact that he was 20 minutes late to his own conference which he explained had something to do with elevators.

“Please sit down, I apologize for keeping you waiting, we were, uh playing with elevators,” he snickered. “Long story, anyway.”

Now that the G20 and his sit-down with Pope Francis have been completed, Biden’s “Truman Show” will move to Glasgow, Scotland for the United Nations COP26 conference on climate change where he is expected to provide details on how the U.S. will work toward the goal of net-zero emissions.

The big question is who is giving Biden his instructions?
