A representative of the corporate media seems to have taken outrage over the “Let’s go Brandon” chant to the next level, and unfortunately, a perhaps predictable one at that.
A lawyer whose Twitter bio indicates that he provides commentary for CNN and MSNBC (two networks still obsessed with ex-President Donald Trump) informed his 71,000-plus social media followers — without evidence — that “‘Let’s go, Brandon’ is the MAGA version of ‘Sieg Heil.'”
Many would agree that words or images that make glib analogies to Germany’s genocidal World War II regime or its brutal dictator for the purpose of editorializing on contemporary issues is a very bad and wholly inappropriate idea on so many levels.
Some activists on the left and the right inexplicably continue to go there, though.

Responding to the tweet from Tristan Snell, left-wing journalist and frequent Tucker Carlson guest Glenn Greenwald, who has emerged as a vocal critic of political/media establishment groupthink, quipped: “‘Commentator @CNN @MSNBC’ (I presume that goes without saying).”
Not to be outdone perhaps, another CNN analyst hyperbolically seemed to draw a parallel between the meme and “Long live ISIS.”
Among those who weighed in, conservative activist Scott Presler responded that “To equate ‘Long live ISIS’ & ‘Let’s go, Brandon,’ especially when Joe Biden armed the Taliban with billions of dollars worth of equipment, is intellectually dishonest & you know it.”
The “Let’s go Brandon” meme became instantly popular with critics of the incumbent president, especially during sports events, after an NBC Sports reporter appeared to misunderstand what was being shouted in the stands following a NASCAR race at Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway when she was interviewing the winner, Brandon Brown.
The crowd was chanting “F**k Joe Biden,” but she apparently mistook it for “Let’s go Brandon!” The rest is history.
The left subsequently became even more triggered when a Southwest Airlines pilot said “Let’s go Brandon” over the PA system on a flight from Houston to Albuquerque.

Matt Taibbi, also a prominent progressive pundit, points out that the suddenly decorum-loving, anti-Trump blue-check brigade has a short or selective memory.
The [Let’s go Brandon] phrase has since become a war cry for people all over the country, being at once a burn on Biden, the anxious, airbrushing press, and the corporate conglomerates who are taking pre-emptive action to try to prevent such outbursts from ever again darkening America’s door…
Is it really possible that these people don’t get they’re being trolled? Part of the joke of “Let’s Go Brandon,” of course, is that you couldn’t go five minutes during the last administration without hearing someone in pearls or a bowtie screaming “F*** Trump!”…
The bigger part of the “Let’s Go Brandon!” gag is that such outbursts during the Trump years were not only not condemned, they were celebrated, as pundits and reporters for the first time told us directly profane insults of presidents were okay…
U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.), who triggered the media and liberals generally when he wore a “Let’s go Brandon” face mask on the House floor, explained what the meme is all about for those who still don’t get it:
“Its become a rallying cry for Americans tired of the [mainstream media] covering for the failures of the Biden Administration. It means Americans are fed up with open borders, empty shelves, rising prices, and sky-rocketing inflation. The meaning has evolved and taken on a life of its own,” Duncan wrote on Twitter.

Can’t even begin to tell you how offensive that comparison is. People were chanting at a sports event: F Joe Biden. When a reporter interviewed a player, she referenced their chanting as: “Let’s Go Brandon.” Now it’s used to point to the media’s twisting of facts, that’s all.
