‘Please don’t touch me’: Sinema hounded again at airport over Dems’ $3.5T ‘human infrastructure’ bill

Radical left activists continue their campaign of harassment and intimidation against Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., confronting her for a second time at an airport over her refusal to support President Joe Biden’s multi-trillion dollar Build Back Better plan that’s little more than a massive social welfare and climate change bill.

The moderate senator was engaged in conversation with Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., while walking through the airport when a woman approached her and claimed to be a constituent. Video of the encounter was shared on Twitter by People’s Watch, a progressive group whose Twitter bio states: “We are people who have had ENOUGH-demanding Congress pass the FULL recovery agenda they promised.”

“I’m from Tucson, Arizona, and I’m wondering, I know you’ve met with dozens of lobbyists–” the woman began, as she walked right up beside the Democrat.

Sinema interrupted, to say, “Please don’t touch me.”

“I did not touch you,” the activist replied. “I know you’re meeting with dozens of lobbyists and talking with corporate donors about the package. How many times will you meet with constituents? How many times have you met with constituents in negotiating Build Back Better?”

“Sorry about this,” Sinema told Scott as the woman continued, prompting a chuckle from her colleague, who said, “I think it’s par for the course.”

The activist was not to be deterred, as she continued, “Why won’t you meet with my family and your constituents? I can have them meet you next week. Every single year in Arizona, it’s getting hotter and hotter. We’re breaking records”

“People are suffering. Your constituents are suffering. What are you going to do about climate change?” she added. “Please answer me, Senator.”

This is the second time Sinema has been confronted at an airport by activists. In early October, Green New Deal Network chief of staff Kunoor Ojha approached Sinema as she walked through Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., interrupting her while she was on the phone.

“Hi, Senator Sinema? I want to ask if you can explain to the American people what you’re planning on cutting from Joe Biden’s ‘Build Back Better’ plan?” Ojha asked. “Do you want to cut climate priorities?”

The campaign of harassment didn’t end there, as a woman named Karina, who identified herself as a DACA recipient, confronted Sinema on her flight about whether she’d commit to supporting a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants — Democrats tried unsuccessfully to include amnesty in the $3.5 trillion legislation they have dubbed a “human infrastructure bill.”

Radical left-wing activists are coming out of the woodwork when it comes to Sinema, even following her into the ladies’ room. A small group of activists with Living United for Change in Arizona accosted the senator at the University of Arizona, where Sinema is an instructor, chasing her into the bathroom and even recording while she was in the stall.

“We knocked on doors for you to get you elected, that’s how we got you elected and we can get you out of office if you don’t support what you promised us,” a young female activist is heard saying in the video.

Of course, Sinema draws the ire of the left for holding up the massive spending bill, along with Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W. Va., another moderate Democrat. Unlike Manchin, Sinema hasn’t been as vocal about her opposition, desiring to keep private negotiations with party leaders out of the public sphere.

NBC News reported Monday that Democrats “have been wondering the same thing for months: how they can wear down” Sinema, adding that the answer may be that they can’t.

“Sinema, a political progressive turned moderate, is holding President Joe Biden’s ‘Build Back Better’ social spending bill hostage, along with Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.,” the network reported.

As the article noted, she has met with Biden “repeatedly” without caving, while “Democratic leaders have tried to isolate her.”

Manchin has also been confronted, with a small navy of unhinged kayakers paddling up to his houseboat, Almost Heaven, where the Democrat lives while in Washington, D.C.

Not only has Manchin refused to support the multi-trillion-dollar reconciliation package, he has said his vote would only come if the bill’s price tag is cut to $1.5 trillion, meaning substantial cuts to the hard left wish list included in the measure.
