Joe Rogan upped the ante in his war of words with CNN as the cable “news” network continues to stand by its lie that the popular podcaster took “horse dewormer” as medication for COVID, calling Don Lemon a “dumb motherf***er” for the host’s refusal to budge on the false narrative.
Rogan, who has been an outspoken critic of the authoritarian measures that have been implemented since the start of the pandemic, himself fell ill after being infected with COVID-19 but quickly recovered after using a number of remedies including ivermectin, “we immediately threw the kitchen sink at it,” he said in a social media video.
CNN, which along with the rest of the media has been engaged in a concerted disinformation campaign to discourage the use of the multi-faceted drug which has been successfully used billions of times, viciously mocked Rogan with the dishonest claim that he had ingested “horse dewormer,” a brazen lie.
Rogan, responded fiercely, threatening to sue the network and, in one of the most epic interviews ever recorded, completely dismantled CNN’s smarmy medical “expert” Dr. Sanjay Gupta who ventured into the lion’s den of Rogan’s studio and was shredded over his employer’s willful twisting of the truth.
Immediately after Rogan got the squirming Gupta to admit that CNN wasn’t being truthful with its viewers, Gupta appeared with Lemon who doubled down on the claim that ivermectin was a horse dewormer.

While there is a version of ivermectin that is used as an anti-parasitical treatment for animals, that is not what Rogan took and he slammed CNN and Lemon this week during an interview with Michael Malice.
On Tuesday’s edition of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan suggested that there may be ulterior motives for the media’s war on ivermectin which is now a cheap generic drug on which the patent has run out, with Big Pharma poised to roll out new oral medications for COVID in the near future.

“Now I do not know what the motivation for demonizing this particular medication is, I’m not a doctor and I’m not a scientist,” he said, “but I would imagine some of it has to do with money, the reason being is that it is a generic drug now, the patent has run out so anybody can make it and it’s worth about thirty cents a dose.”
Rogan continued, “Now Merck has its own antiviral that’s supposed to do the same thing that they claim ivermectin does as does Pfizer, they’re both about to release it.” he said.
“I don’t know if that’s why the FDA is making snarky tweets about it being veterinary medicine but I do know it was used for humans for f***ing years before they ever started using it for animals and I also do know that there’s a massive amount of medications that have veterinary applications including penicillin,” he said.
After Rogan and Malice engaged in some conversation about medications that have both human and animal applications and how CNN was being challenged by alternative voices like his, the host turned his fire on the self-proclaimed “most trusted” name in news.
“This is what’s so funny about that, they don’t understand that when they say things that are absolutely untrue, it diminishes their authority. They’re not even aware of what they’re doing,” he said. “When Don Lemon goes on with Sanjay Gupta and says, actually, it really is a veterinary medicine, it really is horse dewormer.’”
Malice interjected, “This was the lie, he goes, it’s not a lie to say it’s also used as horse medicine, you didn’t say this drug which also is used for horses, of what relevance is that?”

“It doesn’t have any relevance,” Rogan said. “It’s exactly what you’re talking about with penicillin and with a gigantic number of medicines that also have veterinary applications but by doing that, you just, you just proved my point, they don’t even understand what they just did.”
Rogan continued, “Do you think no one’s, like, it’s going to end with you? Because it used to be that way.”
“They would say something and no one would have recourse. But when you’re saying something, and then the person you’re saying it about has literally tens times the audience you do, you dumb motherf***er. Do you know what you did? You just proved my point,” he said.
He also seemed to suggest that a housecleaning is in order at CNN.
“They need better people. They need people that are respected because it’s not that CNN is beyond repair,” he said. “Look, I know Jeff Zucker, he’s a nice guy, he’s a great guy. It’s just there, it’s like everything else, these people are managing at scale but you can’t allow people to say things that are absolutely untrue when you have a f***ing news organization.”
It is unlikely that CNN is going to change course on ivermectin being a “horse dewormer” and by refusing to give up the ghost, the network is only further damaging its already tarnished brand.
