With the Biden administration putting the finishing touches on its punitive order to force businesses with over 100 employees to get jabbed or get lost, one of the nation’s major airlines announced that it was ditching its own vaccine mandate.
In what many are celebrating in a victory against Biden’s oppressive method of governance, Delta Airline’s CEO Ed Bastian said that the carrier would no longer be enforcing the coercive measure which he referred to as “divisive” and all but claiming mission accomplished on the goal of getting all of its employees vaccinated.
Bastian explained why Delta called off the dogs, unlike its competitors that are threatening their own pilots and employees to comply with the White House or find another place to work.
During an appearance on Fox Business’s “The Claman Countdown,” the CEO said that the company had already made moves to convince employees to get “the jab” prior to Biden’s stunning speech last month when the president said of holdouts, “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin,” before announcing the Department Of Labor’s emergency rule.

According to Bastian, “The reason the mandate was put in by president, I believe, was because they wanted to make sure companies had a plan to get their employees vaccinated. A month before the president came out with the mandate, we had already announced our plan to get all of our people vaccinated. And the good news is the plan is working.”
He continued, “Delta today, we are 90 percent vaccinated, fully vaccinated, across our entire company and more and more vaccinations are coming in by the day so I expect by the time we get to November, next month we’re going to be at the 95 percent threshold and when you consider that there’s going to be some religious and some medical accommodations made that we’re going to need to consider,”
“By the time we’re done, we’ll be pretty close to fully vaccinated as a company without going through all the divisiveness of a mandate,” he said.
Bastian added, “We’re proving that you can work collaboratively with your people, trusting your people to make the right decisions, respecting their decisions and not forcing them over the loss of their jobs.”
What he didn’t mention was that a major part of Delta’s “plan” was to “encourage” employees to get vaccinated or face a $200 a month surcharge on their health insurance, which likely was a big reason why the company hit the 90 percent milestone.
In an August memo to employees, Bastian wrote “This surcharge will be necessary to address the financial risk the decision to not vaccinate is creating for our company.”
On Thursday, Biden provided an update on the upcoming emergency order, praising employer mandates in a missive to his 14.4 million Twitter followers.
The Labor Department will soon be issuing its emergency rule for companies with 100 or more employees to implement vaccination requirements.
Every day we see more businesses implementing vaccination requirements — and mounting data that shows they work.

With Bastian coming out looking like a good guy being great public relations, it’s probably reasonably safe to expect that other companies will seek to increase compliance by using similar methods in a perfect example of how the “public-private partnership” works hand-in-hand with the Biden administration.
