While the U.S. military has been busy prioritizing “wokeness,” China has reportedly been developing new nuclear technology so advanced that the Pentagon has “no idea how they did this.”

In a stunning report published Saturday, the Financial Times revealed via unnamed sources that the Chinese Communist Party “tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile in August that circled the globe before speeding towards its target.”

The missile’s capabilities were so beyond the United States’ current know-how that word of the launch “caught US intelligence by surprise,” according to the Times.

“We have no idea how they did this,” one source bluntly said.

The only potential good news is that the missile reportedly missed its targets “by about two-dozen miles,” according to the Times, though the paper’s sources stressed that China is nevertheless now “far more advanced than US officials realized.”

The risk posed by this feat cannot be overstated.

“Taylor Fravel, an expert on Chinese nuclear weapons policy who was unaware of the test, said a hypersonic glide vehicle armed with a nuclear warhead could help China ‘negate’ US missile defence systems which are designed to destroy incoming ballistic missiles,” the Times noted.

“Fravel added that it would be ‘destabilising’ if China fully developed and deployed such a weapon, but he cautioned that a test did not necessarily mean that Beijing would deploy the capability.”

Indeed, in a statement to the Times, Liu Pengyu, the spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in the U.S., claimed China’s military policy is “defensive in nature” and that its missile had not involved targeting any countries.

But what if escalating tensions between China and Taiwan, a U.S. ally, theoretically trigger a war and the Asian nation does one day feel compelled to target the U.S.? What then?

If such a scenario were to play out, conservative commentator John Cardillo appears to believe America would be “f–ked.”

His tweet contains screenshots that depict how the U.S. military has gone “woke.”

One screenshot is of a tweet from Maj. Gen. Jo Clyborne showing off her apparently manicured nails covered in tinfoil.

The other screenshot is of the headline of a story from The Guardian: “America’s top general defends study of critical race theory by military.”

Published in June, the story referenced the stunning words of Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Testifying before the House Armed Services Committee that month, he defended the promotion of racial essentialism among the troops and pronounced his desire to “understand white rage.”

The remarks drew widespread criticism from the right, with Fox News host Tucker Carlson leading the charge:

Milley’s remarks fit a pattern of the U.S. military prioritizing going “woke” over conducting its actual mission, which is to protect the U.S. and its interests.

Just how “woke” has the military become?

In March, U.S. Special Operations Command hired someone to serve as Chief of Diversity & Inclusion:

Two months later, the U.S. Army unveiled a new recruitment video featuring cartoon imagery and lesbians:

The White House meanwhile enthusiastically supports this “wokeness.”

Released in March, the White House’s “Interim National Security Strategic Guidance” is a cornucopia of “woke” nonsense,” as noted at the time by Bush-era Defense official Jed Babbin.

“In its 24 pages, the ‘Guidance’ mentions climate change more than a dozen times, as well as racial justice and LGBTQI+ rights. It’s little more than a politically correct list of things the president wants to address such as the COVID-19 pandemic, racial injustice and climate change,” Babbin wrote for The Washington Times.

“It gives us nothing that could qualify as national security strategic guidance other than stating Mr. Biden’s desire to strengthen alliances and use diplomacy instead of military power.”

But again, what if escalating tensions boil over and conflict erupts? What then? What will the Biden administration do — scold the Chinese for not being inclusive enough?
