The false perception that the vast majority of the unvaccinated are supporters of former President Donald J. Trump, along with the left’s desire to exact punishment continues to lead to calls for those who have declined to get “the jab” to be ostracized from society.
One Hollywood celebrity is now demanding that those who remain vaccine-hesitant and in disobedience of the dictatorial mandates of the Biden administration should just banish themselves from America entirely, a sentiment that is almost certainly shared by an overwhelming majority of leftists.
Actor Giancarlo Esposito who is perhaps best known for his role as murderous drug lord Gustavo “Gus” Fring from the acclaimed cable television series “Breaking Bad” where he ran his methamphetamine disruption network using a fast-food chain of chicken restaurants as a front, said that the unvaxxed should voluntarily remove themselves from society entirely.

Esposito, who would later reprise his role as Gus in the prequel “Better Call Saul,” and also stars in the ‘Star Wars” spinoff “the Mandalorian,” was one of several actors who were quoted in a Hollywood Reporter article about the film industry and vaccine holdouts.
“If you don’t want to vaccinate, go to a small island and sequester yourself,” he said.
The veteran actor added, “[Otherwise] you’re saying ‘F**k you’ to all you other human beings. We all have to do it if we want to live.”
In effect, he resorted to a theme that is a favorite of the authoritarian left suggesting that the unvaccinated are endangering the lives of those who have complied with politicians and health bureaucrats. At the sane time, Esposito undermines the premise that the vaccines were a magic bullet in terms of preventing COVID deaths.
Esposito continued, “I don’t understand how people don’t vaccinate. For me, I’ve lost dear friends, so I know it’s real. Not only in Europe but in America, friends who were completely healthy and uncompromised. The vaccine is the answer. I’m not downing anyone who doesn’t want to vaccinate. Don’t work. Go ride it out somewhere where you’re not going to compromise anyone else if you get it.”
While he may have indeed lost friends to COVID, millions feel that such government-backed intrusions into personal health decisions are a direct threat to their freedoms with still others feeling that the vaccines were rushed and despite the reassurances of a government and media that lies constantly about virtually everything, they want to take a wait and see approach which is just intolerable to the authoritarians on the left.
In addition to being a vaccine absolutist, Esposito is also a climate change fanatic, urging his 332.3 k Twitter followers to pressure local officials to do the right thing for Mother Earth.
Climate change is real. Stand up and reach out to your elected officials. We must not turn a blind eye to Mother Earth! #OurClimateMoment #ActOnClimate

Esposito’s remarks received a mixed response on Twitter.
Funny how these “educated” actors compare the vaccine being offered right now to vaccines of the past that ACTUALLY worked AND we’re in research for over 10 yrs before being released to the public. So @quiethandfilms, YOU go to an island if you scared!” tweeted one user.
Here are a few other responses from Twitter:
Well, I was personally opposed to the vaccine. But when the Copenhagen-born, half-Italian, Manhattan-raised thespian Giancarlo Esposito personally insulted me, I knew that I needed to make a change.

@quiethandfilms in response to putting the unvaccinated on an Island. What happened to your body your choice? Remember that slogan when vaccine came out? Did u forget this is the United States of America? It’s the people’s constitutional right to refuse it.

@quiethandfilms Right-on brother you got it right. These anti-vaccine “individuals” are enemies of the rest of us. Of course this system promotes the individual over the masses because it does not want cooperation. Good fortune in your career.

The Hollywood reporter also quoted George Clooney, an unabashed Democratic party activist and perhaps the most aggressively political A-list star in Hollywood.
“It’s stupid. And it’s stupid because every generation in our country for more than a lifetime has been asked to sacrifice something for the safety of their fellow man — get shot, fight Nazis,” Clooney said. “All that anyone’s being asked here is to get a shot in the arm and put on a mask. Grow up. Get something done.”
It’s hard to see how such divisive and insulting opinions are going to do much to move the needle on vaccines though and are more likely to have an adverse effect on many who will grow more hardened in their opposition the more that they are “othered” by the left.
