Parents across the country are using their constitutionally-protected right to complain about the imposition of critical race theory and mask mandates in local schools. They have organized protests at school board meetings, resulting in healthy confrontations between parents and school board officials. Instead of acknowledging their right to complain, Attorney General Merrick Garland has directed the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s offices to crack down on parents by characterizing their protests, which are completely legal, as crimes.
“Attorney General Garland is weaponizing the DOJ,” said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, “by using the FBI to pursue concerned parents and silence them through intimidation.”
“It seems there are two tiers of justice under the Biden Administration,” says Daily Mail. “Those who align with them politically and those who don’t. The moment parents speak up about their children being taught poisonous Critical Race Theory, they label these parents ‘domestic terrorists.’”
On his Fox News TV show, Tucker Carlson said, “It is now criminal to disagree with your kid’s school. The Biden Administration no longer believes in the most basic precepts of liberal democracy. They are happy to use armed agents of the state to enforce their ideology and they have to because their ideology is deeply unpopular with most Americans.”
Garland’s move is the latest manifestation of an ongoing campaign by the Biden Administration and the powerful progressive wing of the Democratic Party to destroy the American middle class. This is nothing less than political terrorism against law-abiding American citizens.
A frightening example of political terrorism can be found in the irresponsible mega-spending bills on the floor of Congress. The new bills run contrary to majority viewpoints. According to the latest Trafalgar Group poll, more than 71% of Americans say they won’t back Democrats’ massive spending plans that include raising taxes and the national debt. If the bills are passed, kiss your way of life goodbye. The new legislation would institutionalize socialism and income redistribution by means of increased taxation, more social programs, and money wasted on ridiculous attempts to impact climate change. It may include a tax on unrealized capital gains, a national mileage tax, a higher death tax, and billions to support leftist groups—but we don’t know for sure because no one has read the entire bill. We do know the Democrats have endorsed compulsory reporting to the IRS of all financial transactions over $600.
Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn said that the Democratic-sponsored legislation is designed to be “a takeover of the country in one vote. They want government control of your kids. They want government control of health care. They want to demoralize the military, close the churches, destroy your faith in the American system.” Yet liberal members of the “squad” argue the proposed legislation does not go far enough, calling their colleagues “Republicans” for resisting the spending.
“If Build Back Better is passed, Democrats will have the last laugh,” former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey wrote in the New York Post, “shoveling big money into leftist community organizations to tilt the scale against a fair two-party system. Buried in the 2,465 pages are numerous billion-dollar grants to unnamed community organizations for vague purposes like promoting ‘community engagement,’ providing ‘support and advice,’ and ‘creating equitable civic infrastructure.’ Translation: Your taxpayer dollars will fund the payrolls of left-wing advocacy groups between elections. In return, they become the campaign army staffing phone banks, harvesting ballots, and escorting people to the polls on Election Day.”
Twenty-three state treasurers and auditors signed a letter last month opposing the $600 reporting requirement, calling it “one of the largest infringements of data privacy in our nation’s history.” The Wall Street Journal agrees: “The bigger threat of giving the IRS access to the details of your bank account is that politicians will eventually find a way to control how you save and spend your own money. This is a bad idea that deserves to die.”
Biden lied when he claimed that people earning less than $400,000 would not be affected by increased taxation. The government wants to squeeze you for as much of your money as possible.
Other examples of political terrorism by the Left include:
- Proposed elimination of single-family zoning—an attempt to replace your home with low-income, multi-unit housing.
- Biden’s illegal open borders policy that is forcing millions of new immigrants into local communities whether citizens like it or not.
- Defunding police, undermining law and order, and paying criminals not to commit crime.
- Reducing military effectiveness by enforcing arbitrary social re-engineering.
- Intensifying racial conflict with the adoption of critical race theory, which preaches that all whites are racists. CRT would create an inquisition against Caucasians. Even math is labeled racist by the Left. 2+2 is now 6 or 23 or whatever you want it to be.
- Students who can’t read are to be eligible for high school graduation.
- Forcing the majority to celebrate LGBTQ values and priorities.
- Insisting that all men are toxic and all women must be believed.
- Using the education system to brainwash students into believing that America sucks.
- Using social media and the cancel culture to censor conservative thought.
- Blacklisting conservatives, including the threat of re-education camps for conservatives and Trump supporters.
- Replacing free speech with political correctness.
- Replacing elected representatives with the Deep State.
“[The new bill] is number one the gateway to socialism,” said Blackburn. “This is their down payment on the Green New Deal. This is what they’re wanting to do to bring about their transformation of America. The Biden administration is full of hypocrites,” she added, “who only care about forcing their radical agenda onto the American people.” Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy agreed. “The American people are looking at this with their mouths open,” Kennedy said. “[The bill] is going to extend the federal government into every corner of every American’s life.”
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich put it this way: “What you’re seeing is desperation, which I think the rest of the country is beginning to react to.”
The Democrats are desperate to force through their legislation now because they know they may be wiped out in the 2022 elections. “The average American is fed up with being brow-beaten by a bunch of crazy left-winged radicals,” Gingrich concluded. Fed up is one thing, doing something about it is another. In spite of majority opposition, the Left has been getting away with their plan to fundamentally transform the nation. If we don’t fight back now with every means at our disposal, political terrorism will turn America into Venezuela.
