The woman who accused Chris Cuomo of inappropriate sexual behavior provided some additional perspective to Megyn Kelly on her Sirius XM show and it didn’t paint a very flattering picture of the CNN host.
Shelley Ross, who was once Cuomo’s boss when they both worked for ABC News, dished her explosive allegations in a guest essay for The New York Times, detailing the 2005 incident that took place at a going-away party for a colleague when he allegedly groped her buttocks, which she described as “a hostile act meant to diminish and belittle his female former boss in front of the staff.”
On Monday’s edition of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Ross explained that she only dropped by the party for a “quick toast” when Cuomo “walked right into the bar, walked right over to me, gave me bear hug, slipped one hand down my body to my buttocks, and squeezed really hard on my cheek while saying, ‘I can do this to now that you’re no longer my boss.”
Adding that she reacted by pushing Cuomo away and telling him, “no, you can’t,” Ross also said that her husband had witnessed the demeaning encounter.
Kelly then asked, “At this moment, here’s this guy who’s an anchor, a talent at the network, you’re in a very well respected position there, you’ve been there almost twenty years, and what goes through your head as this guy has the nerve to squeeze your a**?”
“It was belittling,” Ross replied. “It was clearly a power trip to make me feel, you’re no longer my boss, I can do anything I want with you.”
She added, “Something in his head said he couldn’t do that when I was his boss, maybe he thought I would fire him or something, but it was meant to diminish… Chris Cuomo’s over six feet tall, I’m five-two, I’m under a hundred pounds and it was overpowering and I certainly didn’t like it.”
Kelly also asked how potential victims of Cuomo at CNN may feel, and whether they can complain “when they have a management that doesn’t seem too interested in pushing back on this kind of behavior.”
"The person in charge has made it clear that Chris Cuomo can do anything he wants with impunity."

Ross responded, “They can’t complain because the person in charge has made it clear that Chris Cuomo can do anything he wants with impunity.”
Following the “groping” incident, Cuomo dashed off an apology that he emailed to Ross, writing that he was “ashamed,” and also apologizing to her “very good and noble husband,” saying he was remorseful for “even putting you in such a position.” His victim expressed doubts that he really meant it.

Ross’s allegation that Cuomo sexually harassed her comes after the host’s brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was forced to resign over his own inappropriate conduct toward women following a series of damning accounts that led to calls for his impeachment, and even top Democrats were compelled to ask that he step down.
It’s probably highly unlikely that CNN will pull the plug on Cuomo who the self-proclaimed “most trusted name in news” allowed to cover his scandal-soaked brother despite the obvious conflict of interest.
