Royals Harry and Meghan join De Blasio, NY governor to engage in mask theatre for cameras

In yet another example of how important masks have become to a Democratic party that has hijacked the coronavirus pandemic as a vehicle for its radical transformative agenda, New York’s new Governor Kathy Hochul and her very special guests made sure that their faces were covered up in front of the cameras.

Hochul, who replaced scandal-soaked strongman Andrew Cuomo as governor, welcomed celebrity power couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to the Big Apple on Thursday where they joined her and Mayor Bill de Blasio at the One World Observatory.

The quartet was greatly enjoying themselves as they milled about bare-faced but when it came time to be greeted by the press, out came the masks for more of the sort of hypocritical virtue-signaling that has become the stock in trade for the political left, while angering normal people who have been bullied and browbeaten for the last 18 months by politicians who routinely violate their own rules.

One Twitter user posted video of the latest episode of mask theatre, once again exposing the raw cynicism of the ruling class and their contempt for the little people.

Since taking over for Cuomo, Hochul has practiced the same iron-fisted style of rule as her predecessor with such authoritarian edicts as the forced masking of children in schools, gleefully proclaiming “get used to it, my friends,” as rankled parents likened her mask mandate to child abuse.

She has also stated that she would pull strings in order to replace vaccine-hesitant healthcare workers with foreigners if they don’t get “the jab” when the state’s mandate goes into effect next week.

Some users took to Twitter to point out the obvious.

When it comes to the masks, there can be no argument that there are now two sets of rules, with plentiful examples such as the Dems who attended the 9/11 memorial two weeks ago and only masked up for the cameras.

President Joe Biden and his British counterpart Prime Minister Boris Johnson met at the White House this week where a contradictory message on the masks and social distancing that both leaders have championed was noticed by some on Twitter.

There was also Sunday’s Emmy Awards where Hollywood’s unmasked celebrities sent a clear message that COVID is for the poor.

Palm Beach County, Florida officials were caught partying at the posh Breakers resort after defying Governor Ron DeSantis and ordering children to wear the suffocating face diapers in classrooms all day long.

And last week, San Francisco Mayor London Breed responded indignantly after she was busted partying at a jazz club in the Tenderloin district where she was in violation of her own mask orders.

When it comes to Democrats and their fellow elite travelers, it is crystal clear that the rules are for thee and not for me which could be the official motto of the party.
