The illegal Haitian migrants whom Democrats and their media allies have practically been shedding tears over all week have reportedly been escaping U.S. custody by hijacking the government’s transportation buses.
After the blow-up over the fake “whip” scandal earlier this week brought attention to the thousands of Haitian migrants illegally camped out underneath the Del Rio-Acuna International Bridge, the administration reportedly began moving the migrants.
Speaking with the Washington Examiner, two senior Department of Homeland Security officials said the administration wanted to rectify the bad “optics” by relocating the migrants so that they wouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb.
“They want those people out from under that bridge so they can’t be seen anymore. It’s an optics thing. They are moving them around for process and release. They’re going to have everyone at the bridge gone in the next two days,” one official said.

But there’s a problem. According to a senior law enforcement officer who spoke with the Examiner, some of the illegal Haitian migrants are using the administration’s naivety to orchestrate their own escape from U.S. custody.
“They’ve been basically overpowering the drivers and they’ve actually hijacked a couple of the buses and driven them down the road a little ways and escaped. This happened multiple times,” the official said.
“They’re moving the detainees, but they’re not shackled — they’re not restrained in any way. Yesterday some detainees kicked a window out and 22 escaped,” he added.
The incident “yesterday” happened Monday, when a bus headed for San Antonio was commandeered by the migrants.
“They did break out of the bus, and they did escape,” a second federal law enforcement official reportedly said.
Federal agents “recaptured them that evening” after a search, according to the Examiner, though it’s unclear whether every hijacking has concluded like this.
What’s known is that, of the roughly 15,000 mostly Haitian migrants who’d been camped underneath the bridge, 10,000 to 12,000 of them are expected to “be released into the country and permitted to travel nationwide,” according to the Examiner.

All this comes amid the uproar over Border Patrol agents being photographed swinging their reins while trying to direct uncooperative Haitian migrants.
Democrats and their media allies quickly seized on the photos and used them to peddle a false narrative about how Border Patrol agents are whipping the Haitians.
The false claim went viral and was even picked up by the White House, which responded by condemning its own Border Patrol agents, placing them under investigation and — stunningly — banning agents’ use of horses.
It took a local El Paso news station, KTSM, to debunk this false narrative.
“According to a sixth generation Rancher, Kerr Wardlaw, the Border Patrol Agents were using something called split reins in order to have more control their horse. Wardlaw said that agents also use the tail end of the reins to help with quickly move the horse from left to right,” the station reported Thursday.
“Wardlaw explained that the agents who appeared to be swinging their reins in the air were actually using their reins as a tool, to quickly move the rear end of the horse from left to right. He said that the agents were using non-lethal force by using their horses as tools,” KTSM added.

However, this debunking hasn’t stopped Democrats and their media allies from continuing to huff and puff in outrage and indignation.
It also hasn’t prevented Black Lives Matter extremists from reportedly also seizing on the false narrative to preach their divisive racial propaganda.
According to the Examiner, the extremist group has even scheduled a “protest” in Del Rio for this upcoming weekend.

If it were white women and children under the Del Rio bridge, we would not see Border Patrol on horses whipping them. We would not be deporting them to a failing country or sending them to Gitmo. This is racism. Haitian Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter.

Meanwhile, news of the migrants hijacking buses and reportedly even assaulting Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers has received far less coverage.
After a U.S. flight containing deported “single adult men” arrived in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, “unrest broke out” and several of the disgruntled men “stormed another recently arrived flight carrying families.”
“The men assaulted the pilots of that plane, who work for a government contractor licensed to fly deportation flights for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, while the families were still on board. Three ICE officers were also attacked on that plane, each suffering non-life-threatening injuries,” NBC News reported, citing a source.
The skirmish reportedly ended when Haitian crowd control officers moved in to re-establish control. In a stunning statement issued to NBC News following the incident, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson acknowledged the violent attack but seemingly defended it.

“ICE fully respects the rights of all people to peacefully express their opinions, while continuing to perform its immigration enforcement mission consistent with our priorities, federal law and agency policy,” the spokesperson said.
It’s not clear what the right to peaceful protest — which, as a reminder, is for U.S. citizens — has to do with violent deportees in another country.
