Dramatic AOC cries on floor after last minute change in her vote on funding Israel’s Iron Dome

The reigning drama queen of Congress delivered another command performance when Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had an emotional episode during a vote to provide money for Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system.

On Thursday, the House overwhelmingly passed a bill that would send $1 billion to replenish the system that is critical for the protection of the citizens of America’s most critical ally in the volatile Middle East, a nation that is hated by progressives and especially “The Squad” which has mainstreamed antisemitism in the Democrat Party.

AOC turned on the waterworks after she changed her vote from “no” to “present” at the last minute, a cynical political maneuver that allows her to distance herself from her fellow anti-Israel radicals while not alienating the New York Jewish vote if she chooses to mount a Senate run in the future.

The breakdown occurred as she walked directly in front of the camera before scurrying off to be comforted by Rep. Pramilla Jayapal and other far-left Democrats.

The bill which passed 420-9 with two voting present, was brought to the floor as standalone legislation after progressives led by Ocasio-Cortez,  Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib threw a tantrum that resulted in it being taken out of a larger stopgap government funding bill that passed in the House on Tuesday.

Joining Ocasio-Cortez in voting present was Democrat Rep. Hank Johnson of Georgia, a man so clueless that he once suggested that Guam could tip over.

The Squad’s success in stripping the funding for Iron Dome drew a harsh rebuke from Jonathan Greenblatt, president of the Anti-Defamation League who lashed out on Twitter.

Many saw Ocasio-Cortez’s crying jag as almost certainly an act given her past history of similar stunts as well as an insatiable desire to always be at the center of attention, as she was during the swanky Met Gala shindig last week when she drew headlines as she showed up in a white gown emblazoned with the slogan “Tax the Rich” at a ball attended by the wealthy New York elite.

Twitter gave two thumbs-down to the New York congresswoman’s tiresome act.

AOC also drew fire from Israel haters on the left who were infuriated that she didn’t vote no.

Joining Reps. Tlaib and Omar in voting no on the bill were Ayanna Pressley, Cori Bush, and up and comer André Carson as the Squad expands its antisemitic footprint in the House and who, ironically, have some principles, unlike AOC who is only interested in self-promotion.
