U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has her priorities, which include working with China on the “overriding issue” of climate change, even despite the CCP-controlled expansionist country’s rampant human rights abuses.
Pelosi is visiting the U.K. and has a meeting scheduled with Prime Minister Boris Johnson to take part in something called the G7 Heads of Parliament Conference as well as appearing in at least two moderated discussions.
During one of those moderated conversations in Britain prior to the G7 meeting, Pelosi acknowledged China’s wrongdoing, such as military aggression in the South China Sea, genocide against the Uighurs, repression in Tibet, and cracking down on democracy in Hong Kong.
She did not specifically mention Taiwan, and China’s threat to its sovereignty, but admitted that China is “just getting worse in terms of suppression and freedom of speech.”
“Having said all of that…we have to work together on climate. Climate is an overriding issue, and China is the leading emitter in the world — the U.S. too, the developed world too — but we must work together,” she said.

The Speaker asserted that the U.S. and China must dialogue on COVID, even while it is strongly suspected that the virus leaked from a Wuhan lab. Pelosi also humble-bragged that at times, she is the most unpopular person/American in China.
Rapidly expanding its authoritarian political, economic, and military influence all over the world, China is attempting to dislodge the U.S. as the world’s primary superpower. It seems well on its way to doing so, with the Biden administration and Democrats, as well as the corporate sector, and certain non-populist cohorts in the Republican Party, generally offering less-than-robust resistance.
Donald Trump is the only U.S. president in recent memory who stood up to China on the trade imbalance and other key issues.
During the same appearance, in another example of projection that has become increasingly common among Democrats, Pelosi accused Republicans — without evidence — of being hijacked by a cult (presumably led by Trump) and suppressing the vote.
“I say to my Republican friends, and I do have some, take back your party. You’re the Grand Old Party of America; you’ve done wonderful things for our country.”

Critics would argue that Pelosi apparently prefers it when the GOP offers only ceremonial opposition to a Big Government legislative agenda, perhaps kind of like “jobbers” in professional wrestling.
She also assailed the GOP for disrespecting diversity and claimed that most of America supports various liberal policies that she mentioned.
When it comes to respect for diversity, some have noted that in the recall, Pelosi and other diversity-championing Democrats could have supported Larry Elder, who would have become California’s first African-American governor, instead of privileged white guy Gavin Newsom.
In any event, Twitter is hardly impressed with Speaker Pelosi’s overseas speaking engagement. Here is a sampling of the responses:
Why is she in the UK? Where’s her mask??? Dod she have to show a vaccine passport?

Se’s the most hated American in China, hated not by the chinese but by Americans. She always leaves that part out. 🙄

So China can kill people, enslave people, threaten its neighbors on the high seas but so long as it is willing to make false promises about climate action we must let it do its thing.
Dumbest national policy ever.

Well democrats are the actual cult members and the party is their god. The reason the republicans are bad for America is that they underestimate the ruthlessness of the democrats and continually fight with one hand behind their back because you know, muh principles.

Like you can actually “work together” with lying totalitarians on anything, let alone “climate”

She can’t even admit that China is the largest carbon emitter in the world w/o trying to lump us in too. Yes, I’m aware of where most of our goods come from. No that still doesn’t make this any less propagandist, and yes, shitlibs are exaggerating the seriousness of CC
