Just when it appears that America may finally be getting a reprieve from the radical left’s contrived social justice agenda, National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell is set to push the issue back to the front burner.
With the NFL season set to kick off Thursday in a marquee matchup between the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys, also known as “America’s Team,” Goodell is staying true to the “go woke, go broke” path.
In addition to giving millions of dollars to left-wing social justice organizations, the NFL will allow players to wear social justice phrases on the back of their helmets for the 2021 season, Fox News reported. Players will be able to select a message of their liking from a menu of six choices — to include “Black Lives Matter.”
The options are: “End Racism,” “Stop Hate,” “It Takes All of Us,” “Black Lives Matter,” “Inspire Change” and “Say Their Stories.”
Teams also have the option of emblazoning their end zones with “It Takes All of Us” and “End Racism” phrases, according to the network.
“We are committed to Inspire Change and the social justice work that inspires change for the long-term,” Anna Isaacson, NFL senior vice president of social responsibility, told The Associated Press.
And if all that’s not enough to appease radical revolutionaries, Goodell will dedicate Week 17 and 18 to the “Say Their Stories” campaign, an effort to elevate social justice heroes who have been personally identified by players for their impact in that area, Fox News noted.
“That will provide a unified time frame for us to further amplify all of the work that our clubs are doing and that will lead into the playoffs where Inspire Change will continue to take center stage,” Isaacson said. “The key message for us as the season is starting, we are ramping up again in a big way with our social justice work.”
The odds are good that a player will select Colin Kaepernick, the radical left former player who began disrespecting the country and millions of fans in 2016 by taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem — initially, he remained seated.
On that note, Goodell all but apologized to Kaepernick last year when he went full woke following the death of George Floyd.
“We, the NFL, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of Black People. We, the NFL, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest. We, the NFL, believe Black Lives Matter,” the commissioner said last year. “I personally protest with you and want to be part of the much-needed change in this country.”
Front Office Sports reported back in July that the NFL will play “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at prominent games and events during the 2021 season. The song is often called the black national anthem.
The playing of the song at “tentpole” events like the NFL draft, the playoffs, and the Sept. 9 kickoff game featuring the Buccaneers and Cowboys, is part of a 10-year, $250 million commitment to combat systemic racism — as defined by the extreme left in America.
While the NFL has been a king among other professional sports, the league has not been immune to fan backlash, Yet, Goodell seems determined to strangle the goose that laid the golden egg.
Here’s a sampling of responses to that effect from Twitter:
Very interesting how they seem to want to lose viewers….it’s kind of strange

Maybe they should wear the names of ALL the people killed on 9/11 also and every Vet we lost…

I have nothing against BLM or any other social justice organizations, but keep it out of sports please. Sports is meant to be an escape from “the real world.”

Then let’s add 13 and 22. 13 for our lost service members or 22 for then 22 veterans that choose to take their own life’s everyday due to the mental battles they are fighting from the scares of war.

That’s why I boycott. The more people that won’t tolerate this crap, the better. They present their product, I pass, it’s all good 👍

Ask the @nba how well that worked out for them? The @nfl is tired of its popularity and wants to do something to change that.
