Influential podcaster Joe Rogan says that all sales are not final for his upcoming New York City stand-up performance.
Rogan was apparently reacting to the decision by far-left, lame-duck New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio to require proof of COVID vaccination to enter certain indoor businesses and venues in the Big Apple.
On a recent episode of his Spotify long-form interview podcast, the generally liberal comedian and UFC commentator indicated that refunds for ticketholders are available.
“I have a problem because I have a show there in Madison Square Garden in October, and I’ve already sold 13,000 tickets. And now they say that everybody has to be vaccinated, and I want everybody to know that you can get your money back. If someone has an ideological or physiological reason for not getting vaccinated, I don’t want to force them to get vaccinated to see a f—ng stupid, comedy show,” he said.
Rogan, who perhaps ironically given the circumstances that the country (and the world) finds itself in, was once the host of a TV reality/game show called “Fear Factor,” has previously slammed vaccine passports as moving the country “one step closer to dictatorship.”

Rogan, 54, has denied being an anti-vaxxer, but in the past, he has questioned whether young, healthy people should get the jab, which he has otherwise described as safe.
He has also chided public health authorities for failing to encourage people to exercise more and improve their diet as a way to strengthen their immune system, given that obesity is a primary risk factor for COVID hospitalizations.
Earlier this month, the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” called out Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, for being “100 percent wrong” or contradictory about certain pronouncements made during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While he has many fans, critics of career federal bureaucrat Fauci have noticed that he seems to spend most of his time on TV talking about the coronavirus and its variants rather than looking through a microscope or studying data about the pandemic, let alone examining actual patients.
That notwithstanding, the corporate media typically frowns upon anyone questioning vaccine-related policies or expressing dissent from them, with the Twitter suspension of journalist Alex Berenson as the latest example.
According to the entertainment website The Wrap, Rogan has a “track record of spreading misinformation related to the COVID vaccine.”
Rogan’s latest comments are, moreover, unlikely to please left-wing Spotify employees who are already trying to get him canceled or the equivalent.
Many observers of the culture have noted that the now-authoritarian left has seemingly abandoned its traditional “my body, my choice” philosophy during the COVID era and any regard for personal privacy or civil liberties including free speech, or skepticism about big corporations, as well as what does or doesn’t constitute a super-spreader event.
