President Joe Biden announced that another terrorist attack on the Kabul airport is ‘highly likely’ and that it could occur in the next 24-36 hours as the chaotic evacuation enters its final days.
On Saturday, the “leader” of the free world followed up a drone strike that took out two Islamic State terrorists as retaliation for Thursday’s carnage at Hamid Karzai International Airport with an official White House statement warning of the potential for more violence.
According to the statement; “The situation on the ground continues to be extremely dangerous, and the threat of terrorist attacks on the airport remains high. Our commanders informed me that an attack is highly likely in the next 24-36 hours.”
With the deadline to leave Afghanistan now only two days away, it is also highly likely that the ISIS terrorists would love to inflict more damage on America which is already reeling as a result of Biden’s foreign policy debacle and the monumental strategic blunders that allowed the Islamic extremist Taliban to gain control of the war-torn country, ousting the Afghan government that had been propped up by the U.S. in a major humiliation for all the world to see.
Biden: “I said we would go after the group responsible…and we have… The situation on the ground continues to be extremely dangerous, & the threat of terrorist attacks on the airport remains high. Biden added; “I directed them to take every possible measure to prioritize force protection, and ensured that they have all the authorities, resources and plans to protect our men and women on the ground. They assured me that they did, and that they could take these measures while completing the mission and safely retrograding our personnel.”
The POTUS also patted himself on back for progress on the evacuation as well as paid homage to the “ultimate sacrifice” of the 13 military members who were killed as a result of the blast, a major political problem for Biden whose approval ratings are in freefall.
Biden’s statement drew criticism on Twitter with some asking the question of why he has not taken preemptive action if there is intel that an attack was imminent.
What sort of running commentary is this from the US administration. The job is to neutralize the coming attack or just wait for such barbaric acts to happen. Cannot understand the psyche of the Biden administration.🤔😨

We should really think about doing something to prevent this.

Others blasted Biden for the Pandora’s box of terror that his surrender of Afghanistan to the Taliban has opened.
Biden now warns of another attack at Kabul Airport is highly likely. He created this mess and now we can’t get out of it.

I’m guessing they have a doozy and planned for the 20th anniversary of 9/11

By announcing the likelihood of another terrorist attack in or near the airport, Biden risks major political fallout if it does happen and nothing was done to prevent it given the foreknowledge, that is especially the case if it is as costly in terms of lost lives as Thursday’s suicide bombing was.
There is probably little hope that the ruling Taliban who have been affectionately referred to as “our Afghan partners,” by some top military leaders including CENTCOM commander Gen. Frank McKenzie, will do anything to stop it and they would likely be delighted at such a goodbye present to America were it to occur.
At the same time, the Taliban claimed they captured two members of ISIS-K who they say were responsible for the bombing outside the Kabul airport, the Washington Post reported — the identities of the two men were not made available, nor were details of their suspected role.
“They are under investigation,” Taliban spokesman Qari Muhammad Yousaf Ahmadi told the newspaper.
