Campos-Duffy doubles down, demands Americans ‘have a right to know’ who oversees Biden

Even though “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy has been hitting a few nerves of late, she hasn’t shied away from voicing her thoughts on matters of the day.

Despite causing first lady Jill Biden’s press secretary to clutch his pearls earlier this week — more on that later — Campos-Duffy asked a question surely on the minds of millions of Americans, which is who’s behind the Biden curtain.

President Biden went before the nation late Thursday afternoon, seven-plus hours after two suicide bombings outside the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, that killed 13 U.S. servicemembers. In effect, the 78-year-old president went on camera to read a statement someone else wrote, while trying to produce the appropriate emotion at the right marks.

On that note, conservative actor James Woods took to Twitter after Biden’s remarks to proclaim: “These are not the times for a teleprompter presidency. Going forward America needs a leader, and Joe Biden is not that person.”

After delivering the scripted remarks Biden then took questions, saying “they gave me a list” on who “I was instructed to call on.”

“All of us have wondered who is behind this president? He’s clearly not in charge and I think Americans have a right to know who’s in charge,” Campos-Duffy said Friday on air.

“Last night on Laura Ingraham’s show, I believe it was Congressman [Mark] Green said that he was briefed that the president was told not to close Bagram Air Base and he did it anyway, and so we know that Joe Biden has bad judgment but we also know he’s not there and I’m sorry, 13 military members are dead,” she added.

On that note, Biden was asked Thursday if he rejected a recommendation to hold, or to recapture Bagram Air Force Base?

“On the tactical questions of how to conduct an evacuation or a war, I gather up all the major military personnel that are in Afghanistan — the commanders, as well as the Pentagon. And I ask for their best military judgment: what would be the most efficient way to accomplish the mission,” the president said. “They concluded — the military — that Bagram was not much value-added, that it was much wiser to focus on Kabul. And so, I followed that recommendation.”

Campos-Duffy concluded by saying what we are now seeing from the president is “unsustainable.”

“Hundreds of Americans are trapped behind enemy lines and the American people deserve to know who’s in charge,” she said, “and if he’s not up to the job, something has to be done. This cannot continue. This is unsustainable.”

Pushing that same theme earlier this week resulted in the first lady’s press secretary, Michael LaRosa, demanded an apology from Fox News and Campos-Duffy — the Fox News host suggested that Mrs. Biden failed the nation by letting her husband run for the presidency.

“When you look at what’s hurting America, when you look at this lack of leadership, and you wonder, who are the people responsible for putting someone this incompetent and frankly this, you know, mentally frail in this position?” Campos-Duffy asked.

“I’m sorry, as a political spouse, I can’t help but look at Jill Biden… No one knew better his state of mind than Dr. Jill Biden,” she added.

Campos-Duffy is married to former Congressman Sean Duffy, a Republican from the state of Wisconsin.
